Re: 21" Tire Recommendations
I like your idea Craig. Ok so what tires do you guys recommend? I am only interested in black wall tires. Looks like the options are: Universal Firestone BF Goodrich Olympic Let me know your experiences and thoughts, or if you have any other recommendations. Please note: I am about quality before pr...

21" Tire Recommendations
Hello All, I will (eventually) need to be putting new tires onto my Grandfathers 27 runabout with wire wheels. It currently has Garfield 4.40/4.50 - 21 from 2002 on it. They have very little wear and the car was stored in a garage out of the weather during all this time. One of the tires has some sl...

Re: WTB 1926 -27 Headlight
Langs has them. I had to replace one on my 27. https://www.modeltford.com/item/6512.aspx They also have a rebuilding kis in chrome and nickel. I used one of the nickel ones. It is a good kit but required me to slightly reduce the outer diameter of the reflector to get it to fit properly onto the hea...

Re: What have you done to/with your Model T in November
Jerry and TXgoat, Thank you for your advice!. I will take a good inspection of my fan blade. It is the off season up here in New England so the perfect time to prepare for the next driving season! So on the balancing suggestion, how do you guys balance your fans? Curious how you do it. I do my own m...

Paying attention to the ideas here as I am going to rebuild the rear axle and drive shaft on my Grandfathers T this winter.

Re: What have you done to/with your Model T in November
I gave the cooling system a little love. I drained the antifreeze/coolant and gave both the radiator and the engine a thorough wash out with a hose. Kept at it until the water came out nice and clear. Visually everything looked good, inside but the hoses and connector pipe were in poor shape. Decide...

Re: What have you done to/with your Model T in November
Getting to know the status of my Grandfathers T. Took off the inspection cover to take a look around in the engine. Just want to get familiar with the engine and it's current state. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised! First thing I see is dippers on the rods, then aluminum pistons. Everything lo...

Re: What have you done to/with your Model T in October?
Re-adjusted the shape of the carb throttle rod (pull rod) to get full quadrant and carb throttle range. Wasn't getting the carb throttle more than 3/4 of WOT before and was completely closed with about 5°left on the quadrant. I am sure it will be picking up at least 1/2 HP from the adjustment...I be...
