FOUND!! WTB Gene Wright Rack and Pinion FOUND!!

Gene Wright from the Portland area made a few rack and pinion assemblies
for Model T steering conversion in the 1990's.
If someone has one that they would sell, please contact me.

Re: Cumbustion volume of head gasket

Perhaps I looked at this too simplistically.
Is it not the volume of a cylinder
Diameter 3.75 in
Height 0.060
3.14 X (3.75 / 2) squared x 0.060
I get about 0.66 cubic inches

I sent you an image of the pair of 90 degree headlight plugs.
Each of the thimbles is marked with M.S Manufacturing Chicago "Presto

I have another pair if anyone is interested.

William,
I believe I have a set or two in my storage area.
These are original ones that are either NOS or very early take offs.
We are on a Model T tour tomorrow but around on Friday.

Do you know if your engine has the original type felt/rope front seal or a modern
metal/rubber lip seal? Removing the front plate presents more challenges with the modern seal.
Remember to center your front plate with a centering tool when reassembling.

It's great to see that distinct Faultless nose on the car.
On the actual race cars many were changed out to regular T rad shells when
damaged in action. Mine had been changed out but kept with the car through its life.
They are made in 6 or 7 pieces and then leaded together.

The Alberta boys just finished a two day Model T race schedule at Dinosaur Downs tonight. The previous race date was July 1 and 2. It moves up north later this month. The cars run a 1/2 mile dirt track which is outside the regular 3/8 dirt track used for the more modern racing iron. Insurance and me...

I meant to add that here in Alberta, oil field workers would take a raw blend of oilfield condensate
and burn it in their truck in the 50's and 60's.
I am not aware of any T owners doing so but I expect there were those in the earlier days who did so.

Frank. It looks like you edited your post to include an image of a distillation tower to demonstrate that Gasoline is cut above Naphtha in the tower. I am sure you also saw the other images which shows Naphtha (3 carbon atoms), Gasoline (4 to 12 carbon atoms) and Kerosene (10 to 16 carbon atoms) bei...
