By the time you go to all of that trouble to try to save a 100 year old axle that’s been through who knows what, you could have replaced the axle with a new one.

I prefer stock Ford ignition over a distributor. It’s tough to beat the redundancy of a timer and coils. If you’re out driving and your mag gives up, you can switch to battery to get you home. If a coil stops working you can quickly swap in a spare or limp home on three cylinders. Timers do wear out...

Re: which wheels?

If there is someone restoring a 1926-27 T that needs a set of 21” Ford wires, I will gladly trade mine for a set of Mclaren, Buffalo, or Pasco wire wheels!

Re: Hershey pictures

It was another great year at Hershey! Thanks to the Hershey AACA Region for putting on the biggest and best swap meet around. I found some great treasures and sold enough stuff to pay for my expenses and purchases and I even came home with some money! To top it off, got to visit with some great frie...

Re: My Racer – old 28 – 1971-1982

Rich,

Thank you for sharing the pictures and background of your racer. I have always enjoyed when you have posted pictures of it over the years on the forum.

I always love the look that the Model A radiator gives it.

Re: Winter storage

I put my T’s on stands over the winter. These work well for me and it only takes a few minutes to jack up the car.

Re: Journey's and Joyrides.

Free starts when you were out for a ride? There must not have been many people watching.

All of my free starts happen at home. I find that the amount of cranks it takes to start my T’s is proportional to the amount of people standing around watching!

For Sale: Emergency Rear Axle Fixture

This fixture is designed to slide into the rear axle housing when you have a broken axle shaft so the car can be towed. It was designed to be used on small drum axles but since it slides into the axle tube, it can be used on large drum axles as well. A lot more useful than the other style that bolts...
