I drilled and tapped the outlet for the brass fitting. Some of the temp gauges come with 2 different size mounting fittings. I found a temp gage at O'Reillys with a black capillary tube which is not as noticeable for my other T.

I had a wings mount cap too and the neck came loose ( not a Bergs radiator). I then replaced the wings with a plain chrome cap mount for the Moto Meter. George I have hauled my Ts all over the West with visits in Elkhorn. Bugs have been my biggest issue. Worst case as far as the windshield is concerned is a $100 replacement at the local glass shop. Initially I purchased just the ECCT without the software. When I purchased the software, it made adjusting the coils easier and more precise. Later I got the Mag software. I would recommend purchasing all software. I have 2 I timers. They are fantastic and very cost effective.

I really like the I Timer. This past Saturday I drove my 27 Touring a total of 35 miles in 20 degree weather at an elevation of 7200 ft. My passengers were 2 ladies and a dog who were wrapped up in multiple blankets. Running ECCT tuned coils and an I Timer is the cat's meow.

The electric horn bracket was the clue.
Then reexamining Dan's illustration and fig 226 on previous page of Ford Service cleared it up for me.

What Gene said. Garmin has several mounting options to choose from. I use a ball mount with plastic hook between windshields on Touring. And a sticky ball mount to dash on coupe.
