Re: Maybe OT but help with Milling Machine

What mine problem is that some of the buttons will not work and it beeps by itself as long as power is on. Seems that is a problem with the keypads when production went to Mexico. This is second keypad, but it is a 2000 production.

Welcome back to the future. This is like the good old days when the only parts we had were used ones. “Spray that old gasket with copper coat and use it one more time” was what we were told when I started in this “hobby” years ago. The only stuff we had was JC Whitney and go to Hershey once a year. ...

Maybe OT but help with Milling Machine

I use my mill to work on T engines, so may pass smell test. If not move it to which ever forum.
Got a Newall C70 DRO on my mill. Has gone south. Need keypad. Newall no has, too old. Anyone have any leads on a keypad. How about input on another DRO. Good, bad reviews.
Thanks For help. Dan

Saturday I looked at a building full of T parts for sale. In the pile was a front axle with spindles and on the spindles were Model A wheels mounted on Model A hubs. Now, not sure if they were driven that way but looked like they would fit. I did not pay much attention to it. But they were on there....

There was a Ford ad done back in the day showing a doctor making a late house call getting out of a T Coupe. Look like a 24/25 I think. Ad says something like it is perfect car for a doctor. That is where I think that term Doctors Coupe came from.

Another note about pins. Dan’s pins have the shoulder that Ford pins do. They are the only reproduction pins that do that I know of. This keeps the pins from coming out the gear side of the flywheel. I have not seen this, but have heard of it happening.
