Re: Sealing Carburetor Passages….

On our motorcycles many have used solder and made a small ball of it. Then tapped it into the hole with a small hammer. Pick off the excess and you are good to go.

Re: Model A Taillight lens?

Thanks,

It is made of glass. It came with parts from an old Ford dealer from the 20s-30s. There are a bunch of words on the back of the lens around the rim. My old eyes are too bad to read them. It has DUO Lamp on the front top and STIMSONITE at the bottom.

Model A Taillight lens?

Is this possibly a Model A taillight lens? It was in a box of Model A and Model T parts. It doesn't have the recess for the metal cover. I know someone knows exactly what this is. Thanks.

Hagerty Insurance

Has anyone here had a Hagerty total loss claim? How was your deal with the buy back amount? Just checking to see if they are being fair.

Thanks,
Doug

Re: Model T on a 2-post lift

When I built my garage several years ago, I designed it to have a two post lift. Since then I have gone back and forth on 2 or 4 post. I like the stability and ability to move the 4 post, but I do a lot of wheel work like suspension and brakes and I didn't know if I wanted to deal with the ramps. St...

May 1st Red Carpet Corridor Tour

Two months ago today we drove this little tour. These are pictures from Wicked Car Magazine. I didn't know they were taking our pictures. This was during the Red Carpet Corridor Tour. Taylor, Cheryl and two of our Granddaughters were in the car too. It was a fun trip. We only made it as far as Ponti...

Arturo, Yes, I still have it. I'm thinking at this point I am just going to keep it as a display item. Thanks.

Stevens No.4 Reamer Kit

Selling my Stevens No. 4 Reamer Set. This comes in the original case. I believe there are a couple of reamers missing. I have had this about 10 years and found I probably won't use it so I would like it to go to someone who can. It came from an old Ford dealer in the midwest. I am offering it here b...

How does the cover attach? Does your T get hot with it on? Looks great.

Re: Anderson Timer Questions

I always do Scott. This time when it started it misfired and puffed out the carb a few times. When it restarted it seemed ok, but only ran about 2 miles before the timer broke.

Anderson Timer Questions

Just checking to see if someone makes or repairs the flapper assy for the Anderson timer. My motor tried to start backwards and broke the weld on the rotor. I figured it is either not available or too much to repair. If not available, I was thinking about trying the TW timer. How do people who have ...

I had to run down to that area on Saturday morning. As I drove down there, I thought this would be a nice Model T ride. And at the same time wondered if Steve would make it this far south. Have a good trip.

Re: What timer do you use

"I have to LOL reading about how guys with other mechanical timers only have to service it once or twice a year. That must be when they take the car out for a drive? Every mechanical timer requires removing the cover and cleaning, lubing or polishing the contacts." Hmm, Please don't tell my timer th...
