Is there a way to balance the tires on my touring car? I get much past 35 mph she starts shaking. I put the left rear up and ran it and before half throttle you can see the tire start to shake.

I think I got it fixed. I used the vacuum idea that John mentioned and it seems to be working just fine. Thank you john for the idea. Found it. It’s the pan gasket right next to the starter. Dripping like crazy. I guess this summer I’m going to be pulling the engine and replacing the pan gasket. I tried to add a video but it’s doesn’t seem to want to load up.

I agree, That's to much oil to be just goi8ng out the tail pipe. I spent yesterday cleaning the engine with brake clean top to bottom. I replaced the valve cover gaskets and will replace the hogs head band adjustment gasket today. Someone mentioned the starter cup so I will replace that gasket also....

Has anyone ever used aluminum foil around the sparkplug to tighten loose threads in an aluminum head. I think one of the plug hole threads in my aluminum high comp head are getting worn. I don't like the way it feels when I tighten the plug.

Stewart vacuum fuel pump question
I'm helping a friend with his Stewart vacuum fuel pump. I cant find the right size fitting for the fuel inlet. Anything I try is either to big or to small. All the other holes are 1/8 and 3/8. But the fuel port is an odd size. Anyone know what size it is and where I can find it? Thank you.

Thanks guys, I ended up measuring the old ring and and ordering the 225 as Dan mentioned. I'm going to run a hone as Mark mentioned just to clean it up. I think maybe some of the problem could had been was maybe I might of had just a little bit to much oil in the gear case.

As far as fuel mileage goes, Thats about what I get in my 19 touring for fuel mileage. Im running a NH carb and Z head. It depends on how far I pull down on the handle but 14 to 16 is about the best I can do.

It depends on how old the gas is. If the gas is over 6 or 7 years old DO NOT PUT IT IN ANY TANK, it will cause damage. Like other said, Set it out and see if it will evaporate. I take my T to the range very often. The guys love it when I show up in it. A while back I posted a video of my steering wheel clicking. It turned out some dum ass (me) failed to put the cotter pin in the pitman arm and the it had loosed up just enough to make arm move up and down very slightly. I got everything tighten back up and a new cotter pin and she is good as new.

If your going to do it, do it right, New balanced crank, cam,valves & springs, Either high comp head or pistons, balance anything that turns. Switch it over to 12 volt and do away with the magnets. I put them into my tires a long time ago and never really seen any difference. But as a rule i don't go much over 30mph. maybe they help with a faster speed.

Issue with Steering shaft.
Just recently Iv noticed a problem with my steering shaft. When I turn it, it clicks before catching the pitman arm. The pitman arm is tight and I see no moment when I turn the wheel back and forth before the shaft clicks like its got a sheared pin somewhere. Here is a short video of the sound. http...

Right now its all the way down to 70. That said its been cool here to. Iv been waking up to temps in the 40's in the mornings, Yesterday it never made it to 60. I went to the gun range yesterday and came home after about 1/2 an hour. I was to cold.

That is becoming a real problem for people. I fortunately live on a dead end street where all my neighbors look out for each other.
