Hi all,

I'm working on disassembling my 3-speed aluminum Warford to clean it up and to change one of the gears out. The transmission was found in disuse, but inside was well lubricated and in generally good condition. The teeth on one gear were munched pretty bad, but other than that all looks well. The input side nut is being a little difficult...

I am considering buying a T chassis from someone in Chula Vista, CA. I was wondering if there is anyone traveling up to the Bakersfield Swap meet that would be willing to help transport a Model T chassis. If so, we can discuss what would make it worth it for you. I still trying to work details out with seller.

What is a suitable oil for my fan hub?
It seems like regular 30W or similar oil would seep out. Maybe that is the plan and the reason for the reservoir.

This appears to be a Model T key, but doesn't have the center hub . Examining with a magnifying glass reveals no evidence of a rivet being ground down. Any ideas?

I think I installed my clutch release ring in the incorrect location but wanted to confirm before pulling everything apart again. Is the location, as pointed out in the handbook (pictured below) the same as where I put the arrow on my picture? Thank you in advance!

I am working on a 1914 roadster which has the original horn and tubing, both in great shape. The horn bulb however, is long gone and only the brass base of the bulb is left. I see that the vendors offer a 4 inch and a 3 inch diameter bulb. Which one is correct for this application for the 1914?

I was breaking down an early transmission/flywheel assembly and got a little surprise.
One of the magnets came off in two pieces!
It looks like it's an original assembly as indicated by what appears to be the original lock wire.
There was no indication the magnet was broken.

Motor kicked back a bit when starting, now won't turn over (sounds like it's trying). Battery, switch, power to starter seems ok. is the bendix jammed into the flywheel?

A friend has a problem that may relate to the TT Truck Rear Axle Ratio.

His TT Truck goes slower than most with a top speed of 12 miles per hour.

The rear axle ratio must be printed someplace, but I cannot find it.

The Model A used the same rear axle with different wheels.

Would that axle in a Model T make it run slower?

Are you bringing any of this type tire to the Homecoming, Richmond, IN?

I purchased three U & J carbs last year as a lot, from one of our Forum posters (thank you). One of them had been all but destroyed. The main jet was bored out and extended up into the venturi like a submarine periscope; the venturi was removed completely and replaced by a cobbled up hunk of aluminum.

Free: 1/4-20 x 1/2 fin-neck carriage bolts, zinc plated steel. These have fins, apparently for digging into soft material, as opposed to the more common square shanks just below the head. A USPS Small Flat Rate Box will hold about 400 pcs.

I was down in one of my buildings getting stuff for Luray and saw a 1912 complete transmission I have been keeping.
It is dated June 1912. (See picture).
Everything visible is marked DB. Even the dated main shaft if I remember correctly, it is on bottom and I don’t want to move it.
If anyone is interested I can bring it to Luray, but will not...

Is the Turbo400 Inner Clutch Disk a thing of the past or is someone still making them?

SOLD These came with a pile of TT parts. I’m guessing they were mounted to the outside of the cab. The are different styles but the mounting holes are the same distance apart. If you bolt them on opposite sides no one will ever notice they are different! They both have some rust pitting.

Rather than send the question directly to Russ, I'll post it here in case others are interested too. After working on the head and checking whether it works with a reverse drill, I reinstalled it in the car and tried it out today when I drove to town for groceries. It works, but reads low. With GPS showing 32 mph the speedometer shows about 20....

Here is a pair of rear fenders that came with a bunch of TT parts. They would work good on an aftermarket style truck bed or even a homemade trailer. I’m not an expert, but they appear similar to Martin Parry style.
