Seeing clutch springs advertised in classified section brings a question to mind. What is the compression rate (lbs) in one inch?

If our '21 Touring doesn't sell in another week or two I want to install the new top we have. We've had the car almost 8 years. I have watched videos and read articles on how to. I will have some help available.

I found this elsewhere on the www. It apparently is a top to convert a Touring into a closed sedan. I have never seen one, not even a picture before. Anybody else got one? Can anyone direct me to more pics & info on them?

I'm looking for a replacement low speed drum and was looking for help in what to look for.
Cracks across the band and across the ribs I've seen on videos but what about the outer surface condition?
And what if it has been turned in the past?

Every book and video I've seen mentions or shows 3 Driven Gear Sleeve Washers, but when I disassembled my transmission I found only 2 and one was fused to the shaft. Were there always 3 and one of mine got eaten?

We adjusted the timing and carburetor on a distributor equipped speedster, replaced a stripped exhaust nut on a 1915 Touring, replaced the fuel tank in another 1915 Touring and successfully recharged a magneto in a 1917 delivery truck using the Carnegie method. Have found a couple of screws located at the bottom rear of both door openings on our 1927 Tudor.

No idea what purpose they had - does anyone have an idea what they were doing there?

I wonder how many T guys are in the dark about using original valve stems. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of talking with a well know tire guy, and he was totally in the dark about how those early valve stems are mounted to the tubes!
The best information I've seen is from the Model A clubs. Those guys really get in there and do their research.

I have an engine knock on my 22T- so I pulled each plug wires individually and seems like its coming from No. 1. So, I pulled the pan and I'm using plastigague to check the clearance. First pass came with no deformation at all, so I know the gap is greater than 0.003 in.

As some chapter's get smaller due to members dying off, has any chapter ever considered joining up with a Model A chapter? You could have a joint newsletter. Combine costs of meetings. Have bigger tours. Have more people available to work on cars. etc.

Would it even be allowed? Ins issues, etc. Just sitting here thinking outloud.

Does anyone have the instructions for a Schlaich Lock made for Motometers? The way they work is seemingly obvious but I am hunting for the original instructions just for reference.

You see something online that you really want and someone beats you to it. Tonight, a missed a Simmons head on Facebook Marketplace. Someone say the ad before me and bought it for $50.00 ! Even if it was cracked and not repairable, I would have taken a chance for that.

Went to the local Fleet Farm today to get oil. Everything was synthetic or partial synthetic. I finally found 2 boxes of conventional 10w-30 oil and bought both. I do not like synthetic oil in my T. It seems to leak more. Is the conventional being discontinued? Thoughts?

24 coupe I dont know how to identify the carb for you guys but i assume its standard.. when i turn on the fuel petcock and allow fuel to flow into the carburetor, it starts leaking (with the engine not running) and drips once every four seconds. i think the leak is coming out of the air intake area but its hard to tell as there is one of those...

Sounds weird, but I need a scrap of old leatherette to patch a hole in the original upholstery on my 1916T. I know most people toss the old upholstery when replacing it, but you never know with T people: someone out there is bound to have some aged leatherette laying around!
