Just sorting through some parts that I bought at one time and found what I think is a Model T 10 tooth pinion gear. It looks to be in pretty good shape except for some surface rust. Has anyone ever removed this and left it off? It’s impossible to clean under.

I used to be able to get distilled water at Walmart for under $2 a gallon.
Walmart hasn’t had distilled water in a long time.
I went to every major grocery retailer and no one has distilled water.
Desperate, I went to Amazon. Prices range from $6 - $8 to over $20 a gallon.

If I set my '27 generator with stock cutout rate high enough to hold the ammeter at zero to 1 amp charge at road speed with the lights on, it shows about 7 amps charge with the lights off. If I turn the lights on with the engine stopped the ammeter shows about 7 amps discharge, which seems too high to me, so I question the ammeter accuracy. It is...

Has anyone ever tried to reduce engine vibrations transmitting to the chassis by placing a strip of rubber between the engine arms and the frame?

In a previous post a few years ago when discussing this cars tendency to dance/veer left or right when driving over a road repair or similar surface someone suggested that my front end could be in the wrong way around.
I was thinking that if that was the case would the bearing threads be a give away given that they are left hand thread on one...

Planning on using a paint stripper to remove what appears to be a lacquer finish on brass lamps before polishing.
I've used paint stripper on furniture but never on brass.
Any issues or cautions I should be aware of?

Here are two period pumps for pressurizing fuel tanks.
One is much fancier than the other and was originally nickel plated. Mostly work off. The brass screw that holds the knob won’t screw on tight. I think it just has a slightly damaged thread. Perhaps with a screwdriver it would go on all the way.

Both seem complete. Both will need fiddling...

I have for sale an individual cell tester for I assume six volt batteries. It tests up to 2.8 volts with “good” being about 2.1 volts.

I tested it and it seems to work. It’s in very nice condition and has the original lead with probe

Have a Bosch mag drive setup up for grabs.
Has a crack in the front plate where the fan belt wear always is. So the front plate is in on large piece, and the little thin tab section thats split. Im assuming it can be aluminum welded back? Front plate holds fine otherwise.

Some wear to the gears as seen, but all move fine when the mag drive end...

I haven't found a reference explaining the different lengths of the bends, but I assume they're for different years.

This Nonpaeil Black and Brass Horn has a Nickle bezel around the screen (note 2 small dents). Paint was removed and the underlying brass polished to show the brass. Could not find any dents or cracks in the horn other than the 2 small dents on the bezel. The reed is in the horn and its LOUD.
