I took everything off to get the hogs head out. The starter, all the nuts and bolts and I disconnected the packnut on the exhaust. The hogs head is up off the gasket it's not stuck down, but I can't lift it off, it hits the engine, there's not enough space to lift it out. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know the month in 1913 the rear axle fill plug was changed from slotted to hex? No guessing allowed!

Time to let my original 1916 go to a new owner. It’s a great original with history back to the original owner. The top can’t be lowered and visibility it really challenging in a coupelet, where I live is just to busy. The decal in the window is well over 100 years old. Hate to see it go, but it’s going to a good home.

I attended the Model T Ford Homecoming last weekend and had an opportunity to drive the museum’s depot hack. It was a lot of fun, but I was surprised at how much vibration there was while the engine was running and while I was driving.

As the pround new owner of an exhaust whistle, I’m curious as to where the pedal mounts. I would think that there are a couple of different possibilities, but I’m wondering if anyone can share their experiences. I’d rather not mount it, only to find out that there is a better option after I drill holes and cut the floor mat.

This is a KR Wilson Pinion Gear Puller used to remove the pinion gear off of the driveshaft. The outer sleeve part is newer and not original but functions like it should. Threads are in great shape. There are some chunks missing out of the bottom part from gear teeth over the years but it still works and has plenty of life left in it. These don’t...

Attempting to get my dad’s 1916 Touring running again for the first time in five years or more to commemorate his memory on Fathers' Day. Unfortunately the oil drain plug was stuck and I stripped it trying to get it off. I can see a thread or two but it just spins either way, can’t get it off can’t tighten it back up. I need to get a new set of tires for my 1915 Touring and was thinking about a set of Blockleys. Has anyone had experience with this brand?

I have looked at many things on my 1921 coupe that make me think that it was a solid original car with not a lot of use when it was restored in the mid 1980's. It was carefully stored in 1987, and saw light of day next in November of 2018.
One thing I wonder about is the upholstery on the seats and the window straps. Headliner, door cards, etc...

Searched through previous posts and was cornfused, so here we go again.

The straight sided felloe will take both Hayes 2845B and Ford 2845B rims? And the rolled side felloe will only take the Ford 2845B?

We drove it outside the garage for the first time.
Went to the Ford factory where it was born and then it died.
Replaced the blown 20amp fuse with a 30amp but could not get it started again.
Towed it back with a chain to the garage and got it started.

The hood shelves on my 1915 (which should be painted black) have the hood latches on the outboard ends and the 1/4 carriage bolt that anchors in through the top and bottom channel of the frame are on the inside.

When I removed the gear case cover and moved the steering wheel, I saw the pins move from side to side. I removed the steering shaft and with some difficulty removed 2 of the pins. I cleaned the pins, gears, and pin holes with cleaner to get all the grease off them. I measured the following:

Is there a difference in rear spring heights between years? I am putting the 26 speedster together and am sorting out ride height.

I have determined the problem is in the gear case under the steering wheel. If I take the cover off and move the steering wheel, I can see all 3 pins for the gears moving from side to side. I'm starting a new thread to specifically talk about carburetors. The T I've got came with a Zenith-Bendix side draft unit originally installed on a Wisconsin Twin cylinder engine. It ran OK, but had a sloppy throttle shaft, wept fuel when not running, and didn't have any way adjust the mixture, which ran pretty rich.
