Want to buy Stevens number T-181 rethreading tool. Used to clean up the hub cap threads on the front & rear hubs. Darryl Bobzin

Looking for front hub with shoulder on inside for speedometer gear. Must be serviceable. No cracks, or opened up at the wheel bearings. Races must still be press fit.

Waiting for me when i got home, thanks to Calimers wheel shop. Now I would like to stain these black, what have you guys done that finishes well, oil/water based ect.

I am looking @ a pre-stain water based wood conditioner and then applying a water based wood stain Varithane. Any input would be great, thanks in advance.

Today, I got a set of door and window shim sets at Lowes for about $6.00 and they make excellent coil shims.

With them still sealed tight with plastic wrap, I cut the pack in two at the middle with a miter saw.

Then cut each section in two off center, so I had 1 inch and 1 1/2 inch wedges.

I think I have seen vacuum gauges on Montana 500 dashes in the past. If not has anyone run a vacuum gauge on there model T and know what the vacuum is under acceleration? I know this changes with altitude just looking for ball park figure from hard acceleration to WOT.

Can't figure out why this is bored into the engine side of the this firewall....what's it for? It is only 5/8's deep and it does intersect the mixture control rod that passes through that slant drilled hole. Is there some sort of vibration damper that fits inside to keep the rod from turning on it's own whilst the car is traveling? You can see it...

I am looking to buy Wheel Dollies to move my vehicles around the garage. I'll either be moving my '28 A or '26 T or '55 Chevy truck. When the rating says it's good for 1,000 pounds is that at each wheel? Would 4 of them hold up a 3,000+ truck? Or do I need ones rated for the total weight of the truck?

I need to adjust my headlights upward. When using a plumb bob, they are about 1/4 out of adjustment. I know there is some special tool that Ford created to do bend that thick bar, but I don't have one. What have other done to adjust their headlights (up or down - not left/right) Thanks.

Here we go with that firewall again. The drawing shows ⅜ holes for the two bolts and calls for T-7255 body bolts without giving the bolt size. The bolts used when this car was assembled in the seventies are ⁵⁄₁₆ . I'm assuming that the ⁵⁄₁₆ bolts are wrong and they should be ⅜ , but I'd better check and be sure. I'm currently restoring a late 1911 touring car that has a November 1911 engine serial number, which matches the title. The original firewall still has what is likely the original patent plate shown in the picture below. This number is roughly 2000 higher than the engine serial number.
