I’m checking my TW timer position against the initial spark when on Batt.

A forum search advises first spark should occur 15 deg ATDC, and that TDC occurs when the crank pin position is horizontal. Fair enough.

I am restoring my fathers 1927 Model T. I have done the work to the engine, frame, rear end, etc. The issue I have is the body. I am not an auto body person. I have been calling around trying to get someone to do the body work. Collision shops are not interested and if I go to a place with restoration in their name the price sky rockets....

I know the later trannies and hogshead don't work on an earlier block but would a 23 tranny and hogshead bolt up to a 26 block? thank you.

Harnesses 1- 5 appear to be new #4 has some discoloring on some wires likely heat from soldering as the wires look unused.

what is the expected voltage on a 6V model T equipped with the Fun Projects Voltage Regulator (VR) and engine running at some rpms well above idle?

Stop and tail lamp from the Model T period. Has 12 volt bulb in now. Light works. In normal position it is a tail lamp. Here is the plate that mounts on the top of the cylinder and the water manifold attaches for a c.1910'ish Palmer Singer. Also included are two, very heavy, machined tapered/threaded dowel pins which I believe are from the same car. Neat items for display or use.

In the parts catalog from Chaffin's Garage I found the part number for these brackets 3640/41T.

3 of the 4 bolts protrude past the need of the nuts about an 1/8 of an inch. Is this ok or should they be flush?

As a result of Craig's recent thread ( ) we measured the secondary resistance of 25 'standard' coils today. There were more coils, but they appeared to have open-circuit windings (note that doesn't necessarily mean they won't produce a spark!).

Spotted this T speedster parked in front of the Kimberly Hotel on W. 50th St. in Manhattan. We stayed in this block several times over the past few months, and the car (and lamps) never seemed to be bothered. Every night, they put a cover over it.

I have not seen a fitting like this. Is there an advantage to these over standard Zerk fittings? Does anyone know if a standard Zerk fitting could replace this? I’d like to not have to buy an adapter for my grease gun.

This is a nice solid set of wire wheels with Coker white wall tires. 30 x 3-1/2 Tires have never been run. No bent, loose, or missing spokes. There is some pitting on the rims and some flaking paint. Overall a nice set of buffalo wire wheels.

I noticed that the needle on my ammeter was laying on the bottom of the gauge. I took it apart and found that stem was broken. I would like to rebuild it rather than replace it. Does anyone have a broken gauge that I could use for parts that they are willing to sell?

I have two side curtain rolls. They are exactly the same, and are definitely the real thing. I don't know of a part number, or what years they were supplied for. The dimensions are 25X19 and have a 2 1/4 hem top and bottom, and a 1/2 hem on the sides. The common sense fasteners are in 5 1/2 on from the sides.

I think I am done with brass grease cups. I will use steel now. The grease gun would not come off the zerk fitting inside the cup and I ended up breaking off the upper portion of the cup (drive shaft bushing)'
What is the easiest way to get the remainder of the cup out of the torque tube? With an easy out? This is the small grease cup. Thank you.
