Eric, go to the post of March 15, LED headlight bulbs, finally some decent ones.
LEDs send light in one direction only, so they need their own lens to direct their light. Forget the bulbs wit multiple leds sending light in all directions trying to use the original T reflector.

The third brush regulation generator on the Model T should be adjusted for Armature cutin and contact closure at 7.2 volts.

It appears to be an American Bosh 600 but not sure which version. Both had centrifugal advance. The distributor cap does NOT appear to be an original cap but my guess it works. This just reinforces my previous warning well over a year ago here on the forum about the potential problems and even damage that this wonderful AI that all too many people are embracing can, and will do. We aint seen the last of it yet, and nothing near what harm it can be used for.

When you are jacking the rear of the car, I think a more accurate description of the two different handles might be short and shorter. I'm almost past using the jack at the rear. I had a flat on our last Annual Run, and gladly let others do the job.

I will try washing soda, I used sodium bicarbonate used to lower the pH in swimming pools and it eats at brass.
One trick I used was to take a piece of plastic pipe and drill a lot of 1/4 to 3/8's holes in it. Then put your rebar inside it with the wire you are going to connect to the positive terminal of your battery charger coming out the top....

Many people have actually backed up hills to keep the gas flowing. I don't recommend it unless it is a private driveway. These days you would probably be rear ended if you tried it.

A thinned down wrench to hold the nut next to the starter switch mounting plate means you can hold that nut in place when wrenching on the cable retaining nut. That way you will not be turning the stud bolt in the switch.

The same applies to starter and generator terminals.

Even a standard head can provide adequate engine braking if you are looking ahead. Modern drivers tend to place an over reliance on the vehicles brakes for controlling their speed. That is a plus with a high compression head. Drive it like it has no brakes.

Many years ago, the prevailing wisdom (wrong!) was that Ford factory started using steel firewalls much earlier on many cars. This was due to so many late 1910s and early 1920s surviving Ts had steel firewalls. I even saw a 1915/'16 with a steel firewall. They must have had fun cutting the drain channel off the top of the firewall to get the brass...

Pat .... It would be physically better to remove the battery and then reinstall with the negative terminal closest to the frame rail, reconnect cables to battery, install battery, hold downs and enjoy your ride.
