I like the idea of:
1) Giving the shields structure.
2) Spacing them away from touching the wood.
3) Allowing air flow on both sides.
4) Not having extra heat in the passenger compartment.
5) High temp black, yes will want to hide it.

I would think the milk truck would haul the milk cans to the nearest rail head. It would take too long for the T to be efficient at milk delivery.

Definitely not for T models, on two counts. Ford always used four lug rims. Secondly, the only split rims Ford did use were 21' rims on the 26-7 cars.

A new drum is only part of the story. The outer diameter of the driven plate forms part of the brake drum surface. Is a new driven plate available to match the new drums? If not, a new drum will mean a step down to the worn OD of the driven plate, not an ideal situation for the band lining.

I have had one 6v Optima battery that lasted over 10 years without being kept on a maintainer for long periods of time.

I had another standard 6v battery last for 8 years but was continually kept on a maintainer.

Without maintainers I have seen battery life as short as 3 years.

My opinion is that Optima has a long life and is the best...

No more reverse can be experienced in several ways...

1. Pedal goes to the floor before reverse engages.
2. Pedal has normal height , (i.e. not going to the floor or very low), transmission is screaming , but car won't back up.

I believe this car was owned by Ken Keesee (sp?) after Harrah's. When he bought the car from Harrah's, it was in very unrestored condition. I believe Mark Mahoney managed/restored the car for Ken. The car was part of Ken's Model T collection/museum in Orange County/Anaheim CA. Ken had a great Model T collection and museum.

While rubber washers at these points were not original, someone in the past probably installed rubber washers at each bolt hole to try and silence vibration noise wherever metal to metal contact occurs. The theory is sound but rubber washers would have a tendency to keep the fasteners from being tightened as much as necessary and eventually start...

The present manufacturer of the KW coil style ignition points has ceased production due to reasons not fully explained. If you do need rebuilt coils that fire each cylinder on equal time, please consider purchasing a set. Three sets are available.Working on a fourth set.

Looks like someone already tried that. The rod bearings will not hold up if they are not fit correctly on a shaft that is in good condition.

I've been considering making a few of these for our own use since they're apparently not available to be purchased anymore? Before I reinvent the wheel, has anyone ever made a PCB file available publicly to get these made? The John Regan version is such a neat solution.

I wouldn't waste my time trying to partially re-spoke that wheel.

REO yes....., Ford no. You must anneal the rounded brass or you will kink it. You think Henry Ford would have added extra steps in that? Flat can be slapped with a mallet with a light edge support.

This was my dual horn setup on the '26 runabout. Used two T horn buttons on steering column for choice of horn. :D Ford horn bracket fabricated from 3/16 aluminum flat stock.

Welcome back Dave. Sorry to hear about your losses. I was wondering what happened to you. I bought a several parts from you a few years ago and then you disappeared. Glad to see that you are still alive and kicking!

When making new wooden felloe halves the stock used should be a foot longer. The ends of the curves will never be bent in a circle, so they need your be trimmed off/back so the half piece is part of a true circle. This is not quite so important if making laminated felloes, as the thin lamunates will hold the curve bette.
