Just finished the instrument panel for current speedster project. Cast face plate. Modified Dodge speedo, lever on right is the light switch, T handle on left is a pull-to-start.

I know its probably been asked a million times, but what oil do I put in a 1926 Model T? The engine is all original except for the valves. Can I use oil from my local auto shop?

It was just a curiosity thing on looking up what engine parts could be bought after the end of T. 1928 parts books, USA the choice of re-building was 5 different Over Size pistons or a complete engine, less starter for $125.00
The 1928 over-seas parts book, Ford Canada, no option of a complete engine but 15 Over Size pistons.

So my brother said that old grease (from the 60's and 70's) mixed with modern grease can have a chemical reaction that can cause the grease to become corrosive and damage the wheel bearings. I know all the old should be cleaned out anyway but if that's true and you don't get it all out.........Any thoughts?

I'm in the process of making my Touring 1926 made in Canada drivable again.

Looking at the front spring and the shackle made me skeptical. Do these shackles belong to this car? Furthermore, there are no holes drilled for an oiler on the 7-blade spring. The corners of the top two sheets are not broken.

Here is a 2 piece steering wheel, that I believe were used on late 1914s to 1919 before the larger composite wheels took over.

The joints on this one is decent, but needs some regluing. There are some wood defects, that look like they were filled a long time ago. A bit rusty on the spider.

Came across one too many Low heads than I need. This one came off a running car according to the fella I got it from originally. Its marked 1915 in pen on one end which is the year of car he had. So, its full of carbon and grime as seen. I did not see any freeze cracks in it, and it looks very nice. Just surplus to my needs now.

Are the hinges for the 1914 windshield,brass or steel? What are the dimensions of the top and bottom frames.

Mine has steel hinges and look like later hinges. When installed and set up it appears to have too large a gap at the center fold.
