I suspect your center main bearing gap (noted in pic) is simply an over zealous radius on the bearing material. Most of the long-time members of the forum do not recommend salvaging rotten or broken spokes with epoxy, glue or shims. It is just too dangerous and even deadly.

I would buy a complete new set of hickory spokes and make a jig to replace them with. I actually did this myself in 2010 and it turned out to be fun.

i have poured several hundred ball caps ( 4th main) ... i have noticed 4 common variations ... no oil hole , 1 oil hole ( some of which had Ford embossed on spherical section ) , 2 oil holes and 4 oil holes ... the only ones with Ford embossed were the 1 oil hole ... possibly genuine Ford replacements for dealer use?gene french

The V bends are made using heat. It's a very poor practice for several reasons. As previously mentioned, if the bend involves 2 or more leaves, it will jam the leaves and prevent them sliding on one another, which they must do for the spring to flex. Another issue is the right angle or near right angle bend in the leaf or leaves. You will NEVER...

You have a sample to copy so take a newer version one and make one.
Cut out a metal disk and weld it on, shape to fit.
Make sure to add material below the headlight socket to make it earlier if necessary.

While you are doing it take pictures and post it.
Don't be like me and just build it without documenting it.

Once I got the hood former and firewall out of my 1915 touring, I had enough room to get a drill in vertically to drill out the two back holes on the block. I made a 1 1/2 thick guide block out of hardwood scraps (old hardwood flooring) and used it to keep the drill...

Thomas, I mistakenly understood from somewhere on the Forum that the Model A upper windshield snaps would work as a substitute for the receptacles with the collar for side curtains, so I ordered 6 to replace the ones on my car, but no dice. The inside diameter is about 0.75mm too small for the fastener to fit into, and of course, the base is too...

So after all the rough in with a rasp file, I come back with a conventional double bastard and then down to a single bastard file. Then I start with 80 grit, 120 grit, 240 grit, 320 grit all dry. High moisture is a major contributor to clutch sticking. Drier storage will benefit the entire vehicle. You can prevent clutch sticking by putting the transmission in any gear, then holding the clutch down and bumping the starter for a second or two every couple of weeks that the truck sits. That will break any rust bonding that may be underway....

I just reviewed the 1906-07 Canadian import ledgers for Ford K and N. Both list Holley Bros. as the maker of “steering gear” including throttle and lead (spark) levers. My guess is Holley initially made the steering columns, but at some point Dodge took over that order, or contributed too (by 1908, several thousand N and S/SR may have necessitated...

Some of the Indian made ones are really high quality reproductions, but they are still reproductions, so don't pay the price originals...
