My '14 T has a very minor fuel tank leak in the area where the sediment bowl screws in and I'm going to attempt a soldering repair. I have a large electric soldering iron, and the tank is not rusty inside or out, so should I be concerned about a big bang ??? As a long-time participant of the forum, i have observed a lot of confusion within many Ruckstell discussions on the forum. I believe the confusion comes from so many different terms (or words) to explain the two driveline ratios (or positions) of the Ruckstell; some say low-Ruckstell and high-Ruckstell , or underdrive and overdrive etc, etc,......

I've been thinking, and that can be dangerous. Is it possible to use a 6v coil and capacitor per cylinder and use a comutator to collapse the circuit to fire the secondary winding? Just ruminating, i know having original coils rebuilt would be better for authenticity, but I am currently running a distributor...so.

I am looking to buy a machined hub for my 15 T so that I use the speedometer that came on the car, and the car has unknown wire wheels. Attached are the pictures of the hub I need. Thanks much!

My 26 touring has been losing juice intermittently from the magneto. Sometimes it runs great on the mag and sometimes there is nothing. I am planning on taking the contact out and cleaning it well tomorrow. I reckon that I will also check the wire for any bare spots while I am at it. Just wanted to see if I should be looking at anything...

Current status: Shifter broke where someone had previously welded the casting down where it attaches to the transmission. Easy enough fix, just need to order a new shifter.

In the meantime, the axle is in low and we've been graced with a few sunny days following more arctic-like weather. I'd like to drive the car and not be in low axle gear all...

I was wondering if anyone has any kind of instructions or directions to dismantle, clean and test
the S4BF. I have cleaned the outside and inside the float but was wondering what I would run into

Last spring when I started working on my T the first thing I did was to remove the top because of rotted out tack rail & front bow. Now I am wanting to put same top back on as it is in good shape yet & I don’t see any reason to replace it. Motor seems to be missing and running rough. Number 1 and 2 plugs are carboned up with a little clean spot on tip of spark plug. Numbers 3 and 4 are super clean.
Is it a timer problem or coils or something else?
no trouble starting the car. Just does not sound correct.

Gas regulator for use on a tank for supplying gas to headlamps, great for putting under the seat or on the running board as a cleaner source for gas than a generator. $90 including domestic postage.

These are stud buckles to adjust the length of the top strap to either radiator base or windshield on early Model Ts, early tops were made up with this style fitting. Finally it seems the copper head gasket supply is back to normal. We got our last shipment in this week and it feels great to not have those out anymore. It seems like all the production issues have been resolved.

I thought I'd share a recent discovery I haven't seen mentioned here. Strobe lights that measure rpm have been around for decades. Good ones with digital readouts are expensive. Here's a way to get one for free using your smartphone to Measure the RPM of your motor, your wheels, your water pump, lathe, whatever!
