Anyone out there in the great Pacific Northwest recognize this fellow? I bought a LOT of Model T parts from him about 50 years ago.

I recently acquired a used 5055 solid state cutout from Fun Projects - I'm assuming it's basically a diode with some sort of crowbar circuit to prevent a runaway condition. After rehabbing 20+ armature cores today for a big order I'm working on, I looked up a name stamped on a couple of old generator armatures. They had clearly been rewound at some time in their life, but no time in the near past. These looked OLD.

Hey fellers, drove my car around today and all was well. Battery was charging and no issues. Came home and tightened up my 4 bolts holding my switch and ammeter and hooked up my battery and saw a little smoke starting to come from my ammeter- it was hot?

Here is my wiring- anything look out of place? A little puzzling to me.

Does one have to allow the car to sit and idle while the bands saturate themselves with oil before driving? How long would it take for the car to be running in idle before the bands were sufficiently oiled before...

Installing rebuilt starter on my 27 and needed a gasket which I found and installed with a little goop. So, with a cork gasket between the mating surface of the starter and the hogshead, how does the starter get it's ground?

In a bind and can't get a gasket to install my rebuilt starter in time for an event this weekend. Dan has one in AL but it's a couple hour drive and some gas money just for a gasket.
