If you haven't already, try Mark Chaffin. He often has parts not advertised here on the forum.

Another source would be Lang's. They're a great bunch of people and are always very helpful. Like Chaffin's, they have a good selection of used parts, but you have to contact them by phone.

I had a 1914 speedster with a spring like that or very similar. I really did not notice anything different than normal. But it was a light car. I think mine was a Longleaf brand.
After looking closer to your photo/ad I see the ad shows a double-set of springs. Mine was a single spring as shown in the photo above

The question of how to use this tool comes up frequently. I think someone needs to do a video on how to properly use it before the knowledge is lost to obscurity.

The roadster (‘17?) second from the bottom appears to have an unusually sturdy under axle wishbone to supplement earlier wishbone. And 6th from the top ‘14 touring with acetylene headlamps. Does that electric spotlight run off magneto or 3 telephone batteries ??

Keith T, I have for a long time known of those as a 1912 model feature. However, as many early brass era model Ts and pieces as I have looked at, I can't recall ever seeing one of the timers in person, maybe a couple of the no filler timing gear covers at swap meets, or a 1912 model T with the complete setup.

It will certainly wear grooves in the tie rod where the coil springs rub. There is a better version which has a cast arm mounted to the axle at the front and extending back to the wishbone ball. Can you measure the resistance on side prongs?
I bought couple of coils on ebay and they show open circuit, what means bad wires.
I can replace condenser, but not the coil.

I found it Ian. Cast into the underside is TT 1924-B With the Ford script below and an A in a circle, most likely the maker's mark. It has only one hole, for the advance/retard rod, so will be for a generator equipped vehicle. Au$20 plus whatever the postage is.

One thing often overlooked when removing magnets is keeping the triple gear pins in place. Magnets keep the pins from backing out. Now I personally have not had that happen, I have seen the results.
When ever I remove magnets for someone, I require installation on a retaining ring.

The issue is that there are at least two different makers of replacement pins, and BOTH are serviceable, one being slightly more pure in roundness than the other.

That said, let's stop for a moment and reflect. The original Ford design called for a 0.002 -0.003 interference fit between the raised pin area and the flywheel. So..yeah a purist...

The beach here is just a stones throw from the Florida Institute of Technology so the scenery can be mixed. Before you make any changes, count and record the number of “clicks” each jet is from seated. This way you can put it back if you make things worse.
