If original glands are the thin ships of folde sheet metal I would replace them with solid rings to protect that new manifold. They are only straight once. Look what happened to your original manifold.

Unless your kingpins and bushings are exceptionally good? You should replace them with good new ones or excellent original era ones. Along with making certain the front spring is properly set, and all the shackles and bushings are good smooth and tight, those things are a good start to a nice driving model T that will give many wonderful miles of...

You should ask for the socket, not top iron. For Model T's, the top irons are what the top mounts to on the body.

Important thing to tighten them evenly. First the felloe on the wheel should be straight so the wheel spins true. Then when you tighten the rim down, do it evenly so that there is minimum wobble. I like to tighten diagonally in one direction and then diagonally in the opposite direction to keep everything straight.

Thirteen and fourteen are the same car and same dog. Different day, because of the amount of snow and tire tread shows on one picture but snow and mud on the other also the radiator cover has been removed on the second picture but both have the same license plate.

Sounds like Pat may have an opinion on rats. They get into places you’d never believe and the mess is disgusting. There’s always little dead rats in the nest too. Not a pleasant memory.

That’s an excellent example of a hard to find crack, Mark. If available, wet magnaflux is definitely the way to go. Cheap insurance.

That would be great if my tickler reached the float. As it is, I can start the car on the second pull without flooding. Cold or warm. That would be fine if not for the leak. Kingston mentioned that when the engine is shut off, a supply of fuel fills the main jet tube for starting. I have that plus just a little. Getting the float a bit lower...

A Muncie should have a reverse. The bearings & bushings are available for them. Aftermarket wire wheels you need to look close at the spoke
ends & nipples for rust & cracks. Some period lowering is sketchy. If it wasn't all the way across the country it would have my intrest peeked.

I suspect that there is a recommended current (amperage) per square inch of plating surface. I am not familiar with Nickle plating, but I am familiar with Chrome plating.
