Anyone have an idea when the change from 6 screw coils to 4 screw coils is?

FS: 2 Very used Accessory Devices, installed between the carb and manifold to Improve Fuel Economy basically just air valves that lean out the fuel-air mixture at higher speeds, AKA a vacuum leak. These are being sold as a collectible only, for obvious reasons. Asking $5 for the pair not including shipping.

My 1926 Tudor has been modifies with a distributor and coil. I get anywhere from 5 to 1 mile and it stalls and will not statrt. No sparks. I have burnt 5 coils so far. What can cause the coil to die?

We drove it outside the garage for the first time.
Went to the Ford factory where it was born and then it died.
Replaced the blown 20amp fuse with a 30amp but could not get it started again.
Towed it back with a chain to the garage and got it started.

I have a leak at the bottom of the bowl where the drain plug is. I have replaced the gasket and it still leaks. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. With the price of gas I’m going broke.

FS: One Kingston 4-Ball carburetor body only, the butterflys, balls, float bowl, etc. are all gone, just the body is here. The brass looks good, no cracks or major damage. It looks like a good start for a rebuild, but you don't know until you start digging into it. Asking $40 not including shipping.

Time to let my original 1916 go to a new owner. It’s a great original with history back to the original owner. The top can’t be lowered and visibility it really challenging in a coupelet, where I live is just to busy. The decal in the window is well over 100 years old. Hate to see it go, but it’s going to a good home.

1915 engine block in great shape. 11/27/15 casting date. Was on a working engine when I took it apart. Was stored safely in No humidity New Mexico since.

Attached are excerpts from the Ford Motor Co. (FMC) Board of Directors (BOD) minutes between April 2, 1904 and May 16, 1905. We see in April 1904, while less than one year since incorporation (June 1903), FMC is taking bids for wheels on their next model (Model B was addressed in earlier meetings).

Should you be working on an original switch, do not assume the 6-32 screws that hold the brass plate on are the correct length. Try one gently to make sure it will work properly. I had a NOS switch that I decided to upgrade with a nicer looking plate. The screws were a tad too long, and pulled out the inserts. with messed up the whole switch....

When I removed the gear case cover and moved the steering wheel, I saw the pins move from side to side. I removed the steering shaft and with some difficulty removed 2 of the pins. I cleaned the pins, gears, and pin holes with cleaner to get all the grease off them. I measured the following:
Gear hole diameters: .378, .380 and .380 inches.

I took everything off to get the hogs head out. The starter, all the nuts and bolts and I disconnected the packnut on the exhaust. The hogs head is up off the gasket it's not stuck down, but I can't lift it off, it hits the engine, there's not enough space to lift it out. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know the month in 1913 the rear axle fill plug was changed from slotted to hex? No guessing allowed!

As the pround new owner of an exhaust whistle, I’m curious as to where the pedal mounts. I would think that there are a couple of different possibilities, but I’m wondering if anyone can share their experiences. I’d rather not mount it, only to find out that there is a better option after I drill holes and cut the floor mat.

I need to get a new set of tires for my 1915 Touring and was thinking about a set of Blockleys. Has anyone had experience with this brand?

I have looked at many things on my 1921 coupe that make me think that it was a solid original car with not a lot of use when it was restored in the mid 1980's. It was carefully stored in 1987, and saw light of day next in November of 2018.
One thing I wonder about is the upholstery on the seats and the window straps. Headliner, door cards, etc...
