The TT I had years ago had the 5 to 1 rear end and a bronze housing Universal Gear Co overdrive mounted in front of the differential. It was an about thirty percent overdrive. On my '26-27 car, the radiator sits on top of the hood shelf. The hole in the apron is centered around the crank. The tabs on the apron are under the radiator springs and on top of the hood shelf. Since engaging the emergency brake puts the transmission in neutral, wouldn’t it be safer to jack up the rear wheels and put it on blocks… or will the change in noise be evident with the transmission in neutral? To me the T engine is L head or side valve so thick ‘lifters’ are used directly to move the valve stems up.

Other valve train designs like overhead valve set ups use pencil like ‘pushrods’ to move the rockers arms to send the valves down.

Sounds like the spring cup hasn't got the pin in it's locating spot.
Reducing the pin height on the push ring will do nothing, for what is removed is replaced by screwing in the adjusters to put the clutch shift ring back to the 13/16 clearance and put the spring exactly as is now.

Now I understand. It's a colibox shim, not a coil shim. Proper arches in the coil box contacts will do the same. The only shim I have ever used on a coil is a couple of washers under the contact posts to compensate for crushed wood on the top, so I couldn't get my head around wooden shims for that application.

Engine cranking is the starter switch, not the ignition switch. Not cranking is the starter switch, starter, battery, battery cables, electrical connections, ground, one of, some of, or all of the above.

Looks like a battery horn to me. The coil thingy is the electro magnet. Should test with a 6v battery charger.

I believe the wheel dolly ratings are per wheel. 4 dollies rated at 1,000 lbs each would probably do to move a 4,000 lb truck on a smooth, flat floor. Keep in mind that most pickups are nose heavy when unloaded. A typical V8 pickup weighing around 4000 lb might carry 2700 lb on the front wheels and 1300 on the rear wheels, or 1350 lbs on each...

Thanks for all the advice. I ended using an old 30 inch pipe wrench to adjust the headlights. I was able to get enough leverage to bend the bracket. I did end up with a couple of tiny paint scratches that were easily covered up with touch-up paint.

Guess if the 4th main is leaking really bad, engine oil could fill the housing between the back of the engine and transmission, then leaking through the transmission main input shaft bearing.
