Hello Forum. This evening I was tinkering around with the old NH off of my TT. It has been dribbling out of the carburetor recently and I suspected it was the needle housing for the needle valve on the inlet. I suspected this because it’s the only carburetor part I have not switched out. Reason being that there was some sort of sealant or cement...

The irony is that no one suggested using sealant.

Sealant was used by some bodger to smash the wrong valve into place and is the situation as-found, not a plan to move forward.

The other day I made an unfortunate discovery with my NH. There’s the link to my original post. Anyways, the inlet where the needle and housing goes lacks threads making the body I do have a paperweight. If any of you guys have an NH body you’re willing to part with, I’d be more than happy to pay for it.

The top of the 27 Canadian touring needs the 2” wide straps replaced. Also It also doesn’t fit very well, the drivers side is not tight, the passenger side seems fine.
I understand to replace the straps will require pulling the staples.
Before I take on the project, I think it would be best to follow the top manufacturers instructions.

Couldn't locate anything using the forum search for my concerns...
Was looking for some pictures (and guidance) of other's T's showing valves properly seated and without head installed.

To who administers this forum

What is the likelyhood the forum can be upgraded to support embedded videos?
I see a huge use for this to show the working order of parts, help troubleshoot model-T issues.
Just having a richer context would help keep up with other Model-T forums.

This forum is nice, but it seems to be slipping behind with modern...

This Heinze coil box came in for lid repair. There was a chunk of wood missing on one side. I also noticed one of the contact springs was loose, then broke off.

Would anyone happen to know what the final Model T production serial number was in 1927? I have a late '27 block with serial number 15,095,965 and wondered how close to the end of production it was made - or was it perhaps a service replacement block? Thanks for the feedback.

Has anyone had experience with using a cordless (20V) tire inflator on high pressure Model T tires? Not looking for the kind that plug into a cigarette lighter. Rather, ones with an 18 - 24V Li-ion battery.

Model T switch tumblers were made from pot metal that often swells and gives problems after the last 100 years.
Add a bit of rust on the steel parts and it gets stiff.
Careful lubrication and working it can sometimes bring it back around, be careful not to break it.

If the tumbler does need replacing it is not a quick / easy job but possible.

I had a starter retrofitted to my 2017 Touring by Duncan and Fraser/Bob Chantrell in Adelaide (12-volt system). It's a bit too stiff. Can I make the starter a little softer by reducing the voltage? If so, how can I reduce the voltage – just for the starter?

All my srater equippef T's run on 6 volt standard systems.
It helps that my son works in the solar power industry and he makes my battery leads, probably a bit on the overkill side.
The biggest problem is purchasing 6 volt, 18 watt festoon bulbs for the indicator lamps I use! I think I now have another lifetime supply in my stash.

Hello, I’m looking for some help figuring out a word on the Schug logo. I am in the process of restoring this so I can make some water decals.

I can read the center and right column but having a hard time figuring out the left column.

The top line is “Spark Coils”

It looks like the second line has a “Som”……

Mike makes perfect sense. There is no need for the dog chasing tail scenario of modification fix a previous modification and then having to repeat same over again. The stuff to do what has been done in the video is all available. There is no need to re-invent the wheel at every step.

I have a 22 T with a 26/27 Engine & Transmission. Has Ruckstell & large drum RMB installed. Engine starts right up and is strong, but The car has always struggled to move. Low & reverse needed high rpm and often will stall, especially in reverse.

Was this a scrap drive or just a wrecking yard over run with T’s getting ready for the scrapper. I think I’ve seen this before but can’t remember where. I’m thinking it’s in the early 40’s or before. Looks like it was few other makes too but not many.

Very rare Weston Amp and volt gauge for an early electric car. Bakers used them and others. It could have other uses also. It is in very good all original untouched condition. It is untested, $975. I know it should be listed in the horseless carriage list but I cannot do it. Five07 458677eight. NO TEXTING.

This wheel/star with 6 holes is attached to the original choke arm where the wire goes. What is its purpose? It doesn’t spin, it has raised areas that lock it in place.

Another supposed aftermarket carburetor attachment for different choke positions? Turning it over without the two stops maybe but with the one position stops ??? Overthinking on this one?

it is intended at best, to be neutrally buoyant while retaining mass/weight enough to tug the release open when no longer suspended in fuel

it is getting to be time to start planning our springtime auto. activities ... i spoke with Kevin Hammock this week regarding any changes in the Duncan swapmeet in March ... the only change is BIGGER ... the 2 north buildings are sold out and the building that was under construction last year is completed and will house an additional 100 plus...

I just saw a 26-27 T roadster pickup for sale in Longview, Texas by a salvage yard on Facebook marketplace. Price $2500.00. Ad states no title, no motor or transmission, and I do not see top irons or bows. Picture is not a close up, but it doesn't look like a rust bucket and fenders don't look all bent up.
