Latest project finished, started with repro brass ship's clock housings and transplanted the guts out of a 60 MPH GPS speedo, made matching faces on the computer and voila - expensive(?) looking gauges. Good enough for me.

Transmission band was re-lined with Kevlar but never used because I decided to stick with the cloth-lined band. It is in really great shape. Asking $75, and I will cover cost of shipping.

I have abandoned the stock front end wishbone for my 26 speedster and gone with radius arms between the lowering brackets and the frame (see the attached photos for some shots of work in progress). I have a ball joint at the frame but the connection to the drop brackets is solid. This is consistent with what I see in the period speed books...

I made a small run of these rings that go down at the bottom of the rubber horn bulbs just like the original Rubes and Nonpareil had. I used an original ring off of a Rubes bulb for the dimensions. These rings will fit the taxi style bulb which looks a little more similar to the original shape of the Rubes and Nonpareil bulbs.

I have an unrestored Rubes Triple Twist Horn For Sale. It has no cracks in the brass, but the usual bumps and dents. All easily removed by the folks that restore these. The 1926 Roadster I bought over 20 years ago came with a Ford F carburetor.

I was told at that time that it was the best Ford carburetor.

What made it the best is still a mystery.

I have never seen it mentioned in any carburetor tests or articles.

Quick project for a rainy day. Made covers for my brass windshield support rods using Anti-Tarnish Silver Cloth and 3/4 inch stick on Velcro. Anti-Tarnish cloth was cut to 52-1/2 x 4-1/4 . While the support rods are fairly easy to polish, the salt air here right next to Admiralty Inlet takes more of a toll. We'll see how it goes...
