One of the best week long tours that we went on was called The red dirt road tour . A whole week of visiting PEI, and their hospitality. Hoping to return and tour more of Canada.
Other tours with dirt roads included Kanab Utah, Boone N.C., and Vermont.

Fantastic photos! The one with the model A crossing the bridge is most likely in South central missouri Ozarks. The Huzzah creek is a very popular float stream. That style of bridge was very common in that area up to the 1970's. Besides, are there any other creeks named Huzzah?

I use the drill bit as digging tool, not a drill. Of course, the drill has to be smaller than the thread. It will quickly bottom out on the iron head without drilling in to it. Aw shucks...you guys are too kind. They're probably the best photos I have of the old girl.

The mirrors on the windshield have somewhat restricted view when the top is up. The mirror on the spare lets me see someone sneaking up or pulling out to pass. It shakes a little but not too bad.

are you planning on putting a top access cover where the battery goes? My speedster doesn't have one(I didn't build car), so the battery is a pain to get to from underneath.

1) cutting the notches will allow one to slide a NON STARTER motor forward on the frame AFTER the F/W brackets are removed.
2) The drawing you provide does not accurately show the actual amount of firewall on the inside.
3) The F/W brackets dogleg inward over the top of the inner frame edge. The F/W mounting holes are in line...

Thank you all for the info. I thought they look more figure 8 than Mae West. So huge price reduction. These Shackle are still in good shape. Only 25$ plus shipping.

Don't use clear spray its too thick and spoils the shine. Antique brass on old devices was polished and protected by warming slightly and dipping in a very very dilute solution of shellac and alcohol and shaking off any excess.
This also produces a more golden hue.

I've always liked this song made popular by Whispering Jack Smith. The Model T isn't mentioned until it pops up at the end of the song as the punch line.

Don't forget the handle! The early ones are shaped different.

They haven't been made for at least 30 or 40 years correctly. Originals show up on line and swap meets sometimes however.

There you go Don. Lovely patina. If you cant live with the mirror glass fault, about the only way around it is to fix a new glass over the existing one. The original is fitted by spinning the brass retainer ring to the glass/mirror head, and it cannot be easily removed.

The first number, 3, should be front axle tool. Checked our catalogs at the shop, but this tool is newer then our newest catalog, which came out about 1940.

The first photo is very nice. Which car would you take if offered? I would take the 1911 over the mustang. You can go to a Ford dealer and order a new mustang, but try to order a 1911 Torpedo. ( I did order a new mustang once, back in 1965)

Saw a pair of these mounts a coupla days ago:

It can be straightened with a press & lots of patience & thought.
A customer had a tire shop try to install new tires for him. They pretzelized one & gave up.
I didnt have an extra one to sell the guy. Nothing to loose. Straightening took over an hour to get right.
I started by getting the rim to lay flat, then tweeking it to round.

Looks like A310/AA310 in the catalog page. Described ass Propeller Shaft Grease Retainer Placer . Likely the A and AA prefix for for the Model vehicle

Agree. I think I will have to slope the front edge a little for the front fender. I think I am going to do the 3/4 inch thick. I re-measured and the interior of a running board to the edge is 3/4 inch and the wood blocks from Lang's are 3/4 inch. It is only the lip width that is 1 inch.

It may sound stupid to some, but to me until I saw this car, I saw the Center Door as the Model T that looked like a limousine, but this car truly fits that bill and is absolutely breathtaking!!! Just makes me wonder if the 802 were really made in 1912, how many are still alive today, because I have never seen one, so maybe I haven't seen as many...
