Was the gas tank cover in 1918 stamped metal part? Any body have one available or at least a picture of one in their car. Mine has a piece of plywood, not correct.

How in the Sam Hill are you supposed to separate new best rod shim packs between layers? 20-30 years ago I used to be able to do it easily with a box cutter blade or even a pen knife blade. But these newer shims must be held together with a space age adhesive that would hold a rocket ship glued together sent to the sun! I have tried various blades...

Does anyone have an alternator on their T? Buckeye sells them and states this on their website about them:

The 12-volt version is capable of 80 amp output; the 6-volt version is capable of 40-amp output

Model T's only have 12 AWG wiring in the charging circuit... and its 100 year old wiring to boot, nowhere near the ability to handle that kind...

I need to exchange 4 wooden spokes for a rim with wooden spokes. The spokes are longer and a bit narrower than the regular ones. The 5/8 tenon ist longer 0,9 inch) than regular ones. Where could I get one, I could not find them at Langs or Snyders.

Are there any opinions on how long a 6 Volt Group 1 Battery should live, if it is seldom used, but left in the vehicle, or which battery is the best??

This a black and brass tail light. The body of the lamp is in real nice shape the chimney cap has some dents etc. The font looks like there was a solder repair. Missing the blue lense. Wanted to buy either a new or old battery carrier that mounts on the frame, T part # 5150.

I did a major reorganization of the shop today that involved moving the 22 to a different bay of the garage. I was able to back it out of the garage but when I tried to back it up the very low slope of my driveway reverse was slipping. It has Kevlar bands in it so I am not sure what is going on. I am working on a '16 touring car. Frame off. I cannot find info on the reassembly. When I lifted the body off of the frame I found 1/4 inch rubber pads at the bolt sites. My main question is do the splash shields mount between the body and frame without the rubber pads?
Are the rubber pads on top of the frame or between the body...
