Having owned a model t for a few years and having repaired the odd mechanical features that were designed into the vehicle, mechanical features that make the car complex and antiquated, by today's standards.

And now newer owners are trying to up grade the car even further with air conditioning, disk brakes, electronic ignition, high tech voltage...

This is not my favorite task. I have beaten these out with a long chisel and hammer in the past to remove the ball bearing style, but thought I'd ask for suggestions now. Maybe a little heat on the race or the hub might help? Thanks.

If I set my '27 generator with stock cutout rate high enough to hold the ammeter at zero to 1 amp charge at road speed with the lights on, it shows about 7 amps charge with the lights off. If I turn the lights on with the engine stopped the ammeter shows about 7 amps discharge, which seems too high to me, so I question the ammeter accuracy. It is...

UPDATE

I finally found some at Target - $1.29 per gallon.
I use it primarily to mix 50/50 with antifreeze for the T
I also picked up another shortage item - Siracha.
Due to a bad crop of chili peppers this year, it is in short supply.
Most retailers are out of it.
Target is becoming my new go-to over Walmart.

In a previous post a few years ago when discussing this cars tendency to dance/veer left or right when driving over a road repair or similar surface someone suggested that my front end could be in the wrong way around.
I was thinking that if that was the case would the bearing threads be a give away given that they are left hand thread on one...

i have been digging thru my stored parts ... i have 2 more sets of re-babbitted Model T connecting rods and a few individual rods for sale ... rods are X grooved and drilled for oil dippers and an oil exhaust hole drilled in the rod webb ...1 set of 1.225 diameter , these are .025 undersize and could easily be lapped to fit a minus .020 re-ground...

Any recommendations on any here in Los Angeles area....or......??

I am working on solving a rough running issue, which means a lot of test drives around the block. This involves backing out of the shop, which is not going well. My technique is to start with the hand brake on then press the reverse pedal down and let the handbrake off. Oddly, the car will go backward when the handbrake is about halfway off, but...

I am NOT very familiar with the TT. I do know that the threaded portion is larger than the passenger T and on this assembly and it's marked TT. Planning on using a paint stripper to remove what appears to be a lacquer finish on brass lamps before polishing.
I've used paint stripper on furniture but never on brass.
Any issues or cautions I should be aware of?
Is there a better way?

Very nice pair of early black and brass side lights. They are not marked I’m not sure who made them. Burners look the same as T burners and are in exceptional condition as are the lenses. They appear to have had very little use.

Here are two period pumps for pressurizing fuel tanks.
One is much fancier than the other and was originally nickel plated. Mostly work off. The brass screw that holds the knob won’t screw on tight. I think it just has a slightly damaged thread. Perhaps with a screwdriver it would go on all the way.

Both seem complete. Both will need fiddling...
