I think I am done with brass grease cups. I will use steel now. The grease gun would not come off the zerk fitting inside the cup and I ended up breaking off the upper portion of the cup (drive shaft bushing)'
What is the easiest way to get the remainder of the cup out of the torque tube? With an easy out? This is the small grease cup. Thank you.

Just converted my fathers 1927 model t to wire wheels. Now I need to get rid of the wooden wheels. These are in great shape. Comes with the tires, stem hardware, spare tire and 2 spare tire mounts.

I used a string to measure the distance around the fan hub (ball bearing hub) and crankshaft pulley (original pulley). It measured 32 inches, so I ordered the 32 inch endless belt,1926-27 show in the supplier's catalog. I could not get it on, so I ordered the 33 1/8 belt. It touches the New Day Timer, so it is too long.

I was changing the bearing on my Prius last week and they used these cotter pin looking things on the castle nuts and I thought they would be great to use on my 1927 Touring until I get the bugs worked out after rebuilding everything on this car, I cant find them because I cant figure out what there called, anybody know?

Checking a 17 engine and I found wear in the piston arm babbitts at the edges. Enough that I think I should replace them. The three pictures are the crank under those arms. You will see some wear.

My question is: I want to buy piston arms that are already babbited from a shop and install those and new pistons/rings and go on my merry way....

Here’s the back of the body frame and the top of the rear springs. Ignore the square head placeholder in there just to index things together. I have to stick a pickup bed on top of this as well, what size are these bolts? 7/16”? 3/8”?

So I've watched the videos and see that a large set of Channel Locks will work for the task. What I haven's seen is the actual crimping done. Looking at the channel I can see where one side has a sharp edge and the other is rounded. I know the welt cord runs along the inner part of the channel, compressing the springs, etc. Here is my question:...

I am restoring my fathers 1927 Model T. I have done the work to the engine, frame, rear end, etc. The issue I have is the body. I am not an auto body person. I have been calling around trying to get someone to do the body work. Collision shops are not interested and if I go to a place with restoration in their name the price sky rockets....

I had my engine rebuilt and after machineing my head bolts are a 16 th to long . Im going to 2 1/2 bolts. Do they need to be grade 5 or 8

Don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but recently when sending to or replying to those with gmail addresses I get a response that my email was rejected. Sometimes resending works sometimes not. The rejection messege says something about going to google and adding some security stuff to my origin email (not gmail my own corporate domain)...

I was impressed by the 1906 Compound car at Harrah's many years ago. It's engine operated one of its cylinders from the force produced by exhaust gases from the two explosive cylinders. The result was a reduction in noise and saving power . That amazed and amused me.

What year was this? There is no year anywhere on the buckle. The two banners in the upper left and right sat Business and Pleasure respectively.

A while back I stumbled upon this old postcard of a street in our town with a Model T parked on the side of the road.

I had to wait for just the right time when there were no cars in the way so I could park my Model T in the same spot to try and duplicate the picture. It’s neat to see what has changed and what things stayed the same....

Two 1911-13 running board irons. These are of heavier construction than later ones. They need to be heated and re-set but are very solid with no pitting or other problems. This style is very hard to find. Compared to the 1914-16 or 1917-21 style they are thicker and differently shaped in various places. $200 for the 2 including air mail postage...

I read some years ago to save the rings from the exhaust/intake gaskets. So, I did.

Replacing pedal shafts, the wort part is getting the pins out, the clutch pedal was loose on the shaft the pin came out easily the brake and reverse pedals is another story I had to use heat WD-40 and drill into the pins from both sides only then would the pins drive out with a punch. BTW I ended up bending the punch shaft :roll:

Several 1923-1925 Sedan rear fenders, believed to be NOS, shop worn but very nice. Holes are round, no evidence of installation. $350/pair, can deliver to Manhattan KS MTFCA Tour.

I have two side curtain rolls. They are exactly the same, and are definitely the real thing. I don't know of a part number, or what years they were supplied for. The dimensions are 25X19 and have a 2 1/4 hem top and bottom, and a 1/2 hem on the sides. The common sense fasteners are in 5 1/2 on from the sides.

A choke rod for a Centerdoor is how long from inside the car to the bell crank? Is it 17 11/16ths inches or is it 20 inches?

Consequently, the bottom part of the magneto coil assembly has a certain amount of spring to it, and may be attracted into actual contact with the brass plates over the magnets when the powerful current from the storage batteries is sent through the windings, thus giving greater magnetizing effect.
