The cotton linings look a lot like cotton web you can buy by the roll off Amazon, can I use cotton web that's the right width and length of course? (I need to just replace my low band)

I keep having trouble getting to get the rear spring in straight. Every time I clamp the u bolts down it pulls the spring down tighter on the one side making the spring sit angled down on the left side. This makes the car sit angled down on the left side. Is there a certain position for the spring clamps to be in ?

Anyone happen to have one of Bob's tail piece alignment castings not being utilized ? Top dollar paid or possible trade for goodies ! I realize there are other castings available but not to my liking ! Thanks for looking !

I have this very old Ford parts book, I think it’s probably from a ford branch. It includes all the parts books from 1903-1908. Models A, AC, C, B, K, and NRS. Inside the front cover is an old Ink stamp. It’s a stamp of a car and some lettering. If I could somehow get the lettering inhanced, it probably tells where the book came from. Ideas?

I'm doing a valve job on my stock 1915 touring and I have a new premium silicone head gasket that I ordered some time ago when the copper ones were not available. I was thinking of using it now. Has anyone had any problems with this style of gasket? Langs still sells it. bobt

I know that some folks apply a gasket- (example: Crankcase pan lower cover gasket) by applying RTV sealant between the engine block and the gasket (apply to one side of the gasket), and then applying a real heavy grease to the cover rather that use RTV, then bolt the cover to the block. i have made another run of Quick Bolts for fitting the mainbearings in Models A and T Ford ( 4 sets ) ... these are made from mild steel bolt stock as the originals ... the quick bolt reduces the time and labor in fitting the mains by reducing the time needed to remove and tighten the original bolts ...set includes the 6 bolts , nuts and forked...

What is the solution to the gap between the cowl and the dash? It is as big as 7/16 . I know nothing about what goes there or how it is attached.

This is a 1914 Model T Ford Engine. March casting date. Aluminum hogs head. Pedals with good definition of C,R,B, see pictures. Pistons not marked for size; bores measure ~3.762 by my caliper. Does it look like they are mounted correctly?

I have a Nash setup on my car. Works ok but the speed registers low. Suspect I have the wrong gears in it. Does anybody have setup information or spare parts on these?

Would someone happen to have an early water inlet connection original or reproduction? This is the one with a heavier boss for the bolt holes used 1909 to 1912 supposedly. I was given the name Eric Vandenbeemt as one who reproduces them, but I am unable to locate a contact for him.

I don't like the location of the original starter button, so I am wiring a solenoid in my wife's 6v speedster (negative ground) and have found two vastly different wiring diagrams:

How should the bolt flat contacts be in relationship to the crossbar when the switch is activated?..., Should the rounded flat contacts or the 9/16 inch square flats be in the line with the crossbar??

First time wheel rebuilding. They're Hayes wheels, bought Hayes spokes. First problem was the tenon was slightly too big to press into the fellow. Turned one set down, as an experiment (before doing all 48). Got them pressed in.

On the California Rendezvous tour last week, my 1913 touring turned over 56,000 miles. It still has the original engine. I've owned this car since 1961, and finished restoring it in 1963. Can anyone top that?

a couple years ago I asked if anyone had been in the situation of only being able to go in reverse, no forward low or high. no one ever had that problem. I didn't want to tear the engine apart, so it sat on the back burner for a bit. I wondered if the pinion gear could be spinning loose going forward and tightening up in reverse, I took the rear...

I am new to the Model T community but not to early cars. I am in the process of reassembling my 1912 engine and looking for tips on reassembly for such info as torques, avoiding oil leaks etc. I can't find such info in the club restoration videos or the club utube channel. Am I missing something? I do have the black book which is helpful....
