Here's a handy device that adds a stand pipe in the gas tank so when you run out of gas you pull the string and tie it off to get to the last of the gas in the tank.The one gallon of gas remaining below the stand pipe will get you on your way to a filling station. FS: One Kingston 4-Ball carburetor body only, the butterflys, balls, float bowl, etc. are all gone, just the body is here. The brass looks good, no cracks or major damage. It looks like a good start for a rebuild, but you don't know until you start digging into it. Asking $40 not including shipping.

I was breaking down an early transmission/flywheel assembly and got a little surprise.
One of the magnets came off in two pieces!
It looks like it's an original assembly as indicated by what appears to be the original lock wire.
There was no indication the magnet was broken.

I was down in one of my buildings getting stuff for Luray and saw a 1912 complete transmission I have been keeping.
It is dated June 1912. (See picture).
Everything visible is marked DB. Even the dated main shaft if I remember correctly, it is on bottom and I don’t want to move it.

This is a set of cast iron stops that mount to a T front axle. I’m guessing the idea was to keep the spindles from going over center.

There looks to be a manufacturer name cast in them but I can’t make it out.

I’ve never seen another set like this before. Would make a really great addition to any Model T accessory collection.

I am trying to find out any information on Curt Austin (I believe out of Roscoe, IL) and his vehicle restorations. His name keeps coming up (in passing) in connection with some high-end restorations, but nothing more than it was restored by Curt Austin. If anyone has any information that they might be able to offer I would be greatly appreciative.

About 25% of early Ford sales information survived in the Accounts Receivable ledger books at The Henry Ford, Benson Library. Trent Boggess tirelessly entered the data by hand (thousands of records) into a database included with Carl Pate’s (RIP) Early Ford book.
