Ford Dealership in Chester, NJ

Re: 1922 Center Door "Makin' some wood"

Although it's upside down, you get the general idea. The two new pieces I made are attached to the corners. Are definitely going to need some profiling. I might invest in a hand belt sander. I am painting the wood black as that is what color the wood was when I got the car. The roof rails will attac...

Re: 1922 Center Door "Makin' some wood"

I don't know if it's called that actually. It's a plate that surrounds the blade with only enough room for the blade to pass through it. So little pieces of wood don't get jammed between the table and the blade and get kicked back.

Re: 1922 Center Door "Makin' some wood"

I have a Skillz bandsaw and table saw. The only thing I hate about the table saw is it doesn't have a zero tolerance plate, and doesn't look like I could make one for it.

I also have a portable table router and a handheld router.

1922 Center Door "Makin' some wood"

I'm plugging away slowly at this "kit" of a car. Body is completely disassembled. Already had some new pillars made by Don Booth. Now, I'm trying my hand at wood replication (Small pieces, which is all I am equipped to do) The two large pieces are the top rear corners of the roof, both passenger and...

Re: When Hope Calls

OK we can start narrowing down the actual location of the When Hope Calls filming location to find out who own the car in the original poster's picture. I did some digging, and after watching a teaser trailer showcasing the "sets", one of the actors mentions North Bay. There is no North Bay in the V...

Re: When Hope Calls

Don, The Hallmark shows are all contrived: girl meets guy; girl hates guy, guy hates girl, but both seem to always find themselves in scenarios together; new guy comes in, tries to take girl, first guy gets pissed, steps his game up. There's no cursing, killing, out of wedlock sex, but there is plen...

Terry, what really hurts on When Calls the Heart is Ms. Loughlin's character adopted a little boy named "cody" Well, when she was removed, HE was removed also. Her character went on leave to care for her ailing mother, and instead of allowing the child character to stay with someone's household on t...

Re: When Hope Calls

I watch the parent show "When Calls the Heart" and have since it premiered 6 years ago. My wife calls the dialogue "insipid". And it is. The dialogue is horrible. The spin off will not be any better. It's about the struggles and plights of two young women who run an orphanage. The first show was abo...

Re: When Hope Calls

The parent show When Calls the Heart is filmed on MacInnes Farms in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. I would assume the spin off is filmed near there. The parent show is currently in the year 1915, even though there's Canadian Ford from the 1920s in it. The spin off I believe is supposed to be aro...

Continuing saga of the Center Door

I had no idea what the spring bottom looked like as it was not present with the car when I got it.

So...I fudged it.

First car built on an assembly line was the Oldsmobile Curved Dash

Now, does the above list of cars sold take into account the 12 cars purchased by William L. Hughson of San Franscisco, CA, in 1903?

Re: Dare to Share- Your first T

My first one. I cannot find my pics of what it looked like before, but just imagine the worst car you could possibly get, like the ones on Model T Haven's website (but worse) It took 13 years to get this car to look this way. I'm currently working on a 1922 Center Door. It's in kit form. https://i.i...

Dealership in NJ

I so want to have my car's picture taken in front of this building, but except for Google Earth, it is RARE to find this place without cars parked in front of it.

When going to put in valve seats, can any machine shop for cars do this? And are there a particular type to acquire?

Re: Do you register your old plates?

New Jersey is a weird one for this activity. YOM plates are not allowed. You have to buy two Antique Vehicle plates for the car, which are permanent. You are supposed to run two plates. However, there is an obscure law that states if your car was manufactured before 1948, you only have to run one pl...
