Here’s another view of the Splitdorf H. And I Did list it on the HCCA Classifieds. When I acquired the Maxwell, it had a J Deere WICO mag. I paid a lot for 2 correct Splitdorf Hs; and now this one is excess.

Nope…. Come to think of it - my ‘07 had wood fenders made by Vic Groah and no running boards.

Re: 1910 car identification
I’m with Peter… It’s a 1907 +- Model B REO. I know because I restored a ‘07 that looks just like it. Its currently being displayed at the New Braunfels Conservation Society. Except; my research revealed it should have bale handled front kerosene lamps. Couldn’t find any (Dietz Dainty) so I used larg...

Don’t shim it ! Use original. Email me the precision OD of the crankshaft. I have loads of large diameter pulleys.

Re: fender brackets
Model year 1914 used either 4 rivet or - later - 3 rivet fender brackets. Which are yours ? Some will say install round head rivets cold and some will say hot. Either way, use a rivet bucking bar (Google it) will help with not denting the fender.

Re: which wheels?
There is a man in my area that has a gorgeous 1913 touring. But he has Ford 21” wire wheels on it and I just can’t look at it. Why don’t you install 1 year only 16” - 1935 Ford wires ? Of course 21” wire wheels aren’t correct for a brass T. Go ahead and spend $5 K on correct repop wires.

Re: Maybe not a good idea.
We’re so fastidious with oiling and greasing our old Ford parts but the boy in photo 8 doesn’t even have a dust/grease cover on his LF wheel ! And it seems to have been popular to ‘create’ Model T pickups before ‘25.

Yes, that is a funny story Kevin. But you have a grand sense of responsibility to chase after and catch a Model T in high gear going down a hill So, ….did your sense of guilt cause you to buy it ?

Re: Speedster Brass Headlamp Restoration
Looks to me like you’re needing 2 reflectors and 2 burners. What else John ? The Lancaster Glass Co. reflectors are rare as hens teeth and sounds like you’re not building it for a Stynoskie run - so just go with T suppliers reflectors. I might be able to help you with 1 burner assembly.

John, First paragraph, second sentence: “3 primer, 1/4 turn. Turn the key on and it starts 70% of the time”. By “primer” he wasn’t speaking of any kind of paint or fuel pump. Model T people would read this as pulling on the looped wire leading to the carburetor choke butterfly while cranking the eng...

Re: Another barn find.
Very interesting barn find Allan. Yes, I’d attempt to preserve it too. Reinvigorate the dried out spokes. Lightly sand the rusty sheet metal and apply a satin preservative. Tell us more about those 2 interesting ‘scuff plates’ on the splash apron.
