More from today.
We saw Iron Bridges but they were not open. Then we headed to a mill and got the next pictures before heading to the best place for pictures as far as I thought.

We left Friday and stayed all 5 days and tried to get pictures of as much as possible but the roads were almost non-existant so unless we stopped at every bridge, some are not as good as others. I also got video going though some of the bridges which is very hard to do while driving and bouncing and...

Mike, Check the brass part real close for a very small pin that you could drive out to remove the shaft. I have never looked for one on a handle like that but my hood lathes on the 25 Indiana had one pin that was real hard to spot that held them together. If it has one, it may not be easy to find. T...

I would not want that block as a 13 but it is over 100 years old and someone could use it. Maybe you could stamp it as reproduction so it could not be passed off as the real deal later. It would be a shame to junk it. I vote to let someone have it knowing what it is.

Re: Rear wire wheel mount for touring car
I had to give $100 for one a few years ago and then ended up with an extra one in some parts I bought. I would need to check but I think it was bent but if it is able to be used it could be for sale.

My first and only new muffler lasted less than 1/8th of a mile. It looked like yours only no black soot on it yet.

Re: Seeking opinions on 1912/13 oil pans
My 1913 engine with casting date in Dec. 1912 has the 3 rivet pan. Second pictures has the aftermarket 2nd tie rod sitting on it that I was testing the fit and did not come with this car.

My 13 has no fasteners on the windshield but one on the firewall on each side and on the top. These are the only pictures I took after I put one side on that was under the rear seat of the car that had been parked since 1928. Someone has put black material in place of the clear on the front side win...

Re: roughest car you have ever restored?
My 1925 Indiana Truck found in the loft of a barn when I was 16. I only found the wood cab and sheet metal for the body and later got the rear half of the frame from the woods in the next county where it had sat for years. Took me over 20 years just to find part of a frame from another Indiana that ...

Dallas, I like yours better on the inside. I wanted to put the wood inside but also want to paint cars in this shop and the old wood holds way more dirt and dust to drop into wet paint so I was going to use drywall and ended up going with reclaimed sheet metal from an old pole barn that was getting ...

Re: A period looking shop.
I did the same thing 5 or 6 years ago with the old corn crib that I wanted to save from the farm but it was in poor condition so I took it down one board at a time and rebuilt it inside the pole barn to use as a workshop. I replaced the 2x4's with reclaimed lumber and only had to buy the floor joist...

I always thought it would be fun to own a car the same age as me but its even more fun to drive a car the same age as my Grandpa. He was born in 1909 a couple of months after my Model T was built. This is how we named the car Grandpa. It also fits when it is hard to start since it only has the hand ...

I drove to an out of state 2 day auction over a 3 day weekend where they held part one the first day with a day in between to set up for the second auction on the third day because they had a 1912 engine listed along with several 1916's and others. Re: Beginner frame riveting.
I made a real heavy bucking bar in the lathe to back up the rivets in my truck frame. Then I used an air hammer with the correct tip to fit the round end. Heat the rivet and go to it till it is the shape you want. If it cools down heat it again and keep at it. You will get there.

I have not watched it yet but noticed right away the third picture with the wrong caption. It says 3 lever 2 pedal but shows 3 pedals and 2 levers in the picture. Not wanting to be picky but thought maybe he could fix this before it gets out there. Typo's happen.

On the old forum we had to resize the pictures down to a smaller size. I can still post the same pictures here and you can not click on them but if I post the original larger picture you can click and see it full size. I think in this case size matters.

Bill,
I hate to be the one to tell you this but model T parts are not worth much these days. I guess if you just want to clean out the garage I could help you out and wont charge you much. I could be there by 9am with a trailer.

Bob is correct it appears to be off a 1912 EMF Carbide headlight. Thanks everyone for helping me chase it down.
