#1 cylinder not doing it's share

I drove our '21 Touring yesterday for the first time in about six weeks. It ran good for about a mile on the way to the local store but not so good on the way home. I found, by grounding the plugs with a screwdriver, one at a time, that # 1 was not up to par with the rest. The spark looks strong and...

It has a little more pinstriping than I would have put on but I can probably live with it. It runs, drives, and stops great.

Re: seeking a good picture/drawing of a '21 Touring

Yes I have and have not found what I want. I might go with the pic I found if my shirt maker can use it. I want the old style Ford script on the front where the pocket would be and a picture of a Touring car with "1921 Model T Touring". I'm thinking black shirts with white picture and lettering? Tha...

The picture of the car in this old ad would be perfect, although it appears to be a 22= according to the slanting windshield.

seeking a good picture/drawing of a '21 Touring

I have had tee shirts (non Model T related) made locally and love them. The quality of the work is fantastic. I would like to have a couple made for my wife and myself about Model Ts. I have looked , and not yet found a picture that I want for the back of the shirts. What I am looking for is a good ...

Re: Our Touring will be 98 years old this month

We bought our T about 3 years ago but we have 3 grandsons, ages 2, 9, and 10. All three are my son's boys. So I figure the T will be theirs when we're "done with it". They already love it. I love being able to know the exact day when our cars were built. I plan to go to the local newspaper office an...

Our Touring will be 98 years old this month

Our car was built May, 27 1921. I'm thinking about having it a birthday party with cake and ice cream. I will invite some of it's friends. I've got the new Lang's catalog by my recliner trying to decide what to get it. I'm thinking new floor mats, hub caps, motometer, can't decide. The party will be...

Re: first drive this year

I know that a common problem in T generators is the brush plate insulators and if that is the problem with mine it will be a quick, inexpensive fix. It would be stupid for me to throw away money on another generator, although I might pick up another known good used one for a spare, if I can fix mine...

first drive this year

I finally got our '21 touring out today for the first time since about last Thanksgiving. I had planned to before now but health issues and bad weather held me up. I drove it for a couple of miles today and it did fine. The generator has never charged since we've had the car but I plan to take the g...

Re: Model T coil tester advice: HCCT, Strobo-Spark, ECCT

I have not taken the time to read each reply to this topic but I have found, in the past that it often, not always, depends on who you ask which tester is best, what answer you get. Someone who owns one will tell you you need one like mine and the others are not good, but the guy who owns one of the...

gonna tackle the longest, steepest hill so far

Friday and Saturday night cruise-ins are back in full swing here again. There is one about 7-8 miles from our house that we go to most Friday nights, weather permitting. We have taken our other vehicles, a '40 Chevy sedan and a '55 Studebaker truck, but have not yet driven our '21 Touring there. We ...

Dash cam or any other kind of cam... please guys, and/or gals use a "dead cat" or some kind of wind noise suppressor when making in-car videos, please. And keep the cameras and microphones behind the windshield when travelling down the road at the high speeds we zoom around at. Otherwise good videos...

I had a dog that would pick apples off the lower limbs on my apple trees then lie in the yard and eat the apples down to the core, leaving the core like a human would. I kept expecting her to want me to peel them for her , but she never did. She seemed to prefer yellow apples. She gave unconditional...

OT maybe- Fordson tractor built for Henry's grandsons

I don't know where I've been and why I've never seen it until now, but I just today discovered the approximate 5/8 size Fordson tractor that Henry built/had built for his grandchildren. It uses a Model T engine and rearend. Other parts are one-off for the build . I love it I would love to do the sam...

My wife is a big fan of the show and other shows on the network. I figured she would really be disappointed the other day when the news broke about Lori Loughlin, who plays the lady mayor, and others allegedly involved being brought up on charges, but she has had little to say about the subject. Steve J, I too look forward to you being back on the road again.
