Re: Generations of Black Cars
Ron, to answer your last question, Ford produced centerdoors from 1915-1922. I greatly enjoy mine and I’m 6’2” with a ‘full figured’ wife. It takes only a minute to remove the passenger seat and then a driver can easily take his seat and a passenger can easily be seated in the back seat. Without the...

Yes. It’s the steel firewall for Model Ts. TTs were introduced in ‘17-‘18 so they might have had wood firewalls but a few in ‘23 would’ve had the low steel firewall. Then, when a dealership sold a TT chassis in ‘24-‘27, they’d have a “high” steel firewall just like the cars.

Yes. I advised boiled linseed oil last Friday. You don’t boil regular linseed oil. You Buy boiled linseed oil at the hardware store. There’s a chemical difference between the two. If you simply brush linseed oil onto your spokes, forget about having paint or clear varnish to adhere.

Nope.... your coil box is correct for 1921. And it appears you have some nice accessories: spare tire carrier for one. Your brake pedal implies external contracting rear brakes too

Re: Just adopted a T - It was supposed to be a quiet project
Good move Dan....if you were more familiar with your T’s performance, you just might realize a very minor improvement in its ‘peppyness’. Some time ago someone long lost to memory dyno’d a T engine with and w/out a water pump and with and w/out a generator and showed a tiny horsepower increase. Yes;...

Good on you Dan ! You’re way ahead of the game ! You have an Anderson timer ! They’re the best. And you have a modern oil seal on the cam gear cover. Don’t use grease or oil on/in it. Just a dab of Vaseline on the flapper and 4 contacts.

To answer your initial question: Two years ago I sold 1913 specific NOS Victor #1 cowl lamps along with a nice Victor #1 tail lamp for $750.

Yes, I did find 2 I’d sell. What are they worth ? One has original paint. One is in primer and 2 have original machine screws/square nuts. Remember, Joe Biden caused the 9% inflation rate They’d easily be sent in a bubble envelope.....gwhouse731@gmail.com

Speaking strictly Model years; 1918-22 roadsters used the same top sockets. 1923-25 are interchangeable. Then ‘26-‘27 are same.

The WR head on my centerdoor makes it scary fast.
I’d buy another for $300 but wouldn’t sell this one for $500 so I agree - again - with Scott.

Excellent progress Dan ! However the fan bracket bolt doesn’t use a fastening nut. That bolt is cotter pinned. Yeah, take that fan bracket bolt shim out and cotter pin that bolt. See the holes ? A lot of people added water pumps to try and correct an overheating problem when the problem usually is i...

That, I don’t know Tony. Since I’m not a Stynoski level restorer, I didn’t research that far. That concave metal panel is unseen so I wouldn’t think so.
