Re: Rust removal Evapo-Rust
I agree about evaporust. Just got a pail and soaked a cast iron part and a few steel parts. (more OT parts commentary) Good stuff! Did it in the house but the cast iron after brushing down and rinsing was oh so happy to start rusting again. The steel spark plug wire tube was more forgiving there. No...

Cadillac forks (1913?) are very close but the fork mount is also offset to the right or left with a steering? arm just under the fork.
Might be a brand to consider.

Felt keeps the dirt out whilst being oily for the moving parts. Unless fully yucked-up with dirt-rust. I broke a shaft mount because it was rusted securely. Welded it back together and went on. In my 50's I started carrying one that said NRA but that fell off. Blade is as dull as as the day is long. Still cuts tho! As handy as the flashlight in my pocket! Used it just a few hours ago digging in a rust pit. :) Couldn't be without it anymore. Ouch. The point is still sharp so I'm easier on e...

Ick. Hot. Oh, but it's a dry heat... Fiddlesticks. In the yard, playing with OT, 81, 57 degree dew-point and sunny. Was blinking hot. Aww poop, now you have me wanting (more) to work on the '45 Flat Head amidst all my other pressing projects. Just pressed the button on the '45 and away it went. 25 y...

Funny on the running board toolbox! Uh huh, some days we need tools at hand! Silly thought perhaps: Is the point gap just a hair too close? Grampa's truck (not a T but a '58 Chevrolet six) was the same and fooled with us all until I opened the points just a tiny bit. Then, no problem with warm start...

The antique gas engine and tractor markets have been sagging also for the last few years.
There was a post on another site a day or two ago asking the same question.
Not just this year but it sure doesn't help.
