Won't need that steel washer with the modern alum cap.

The seal is placed deep into the body of the cap, and Hyatt face can't contact the neoprene seal.

The size, the latch and the inscription painted on that door makes it likely a rear door to a closed panel bodied truck the size for a Model T.

Inscription covers the loading weight and capactiy of the vehicle and its intended speed for licensing.

Norm gives correct info......same as can be read in the Ford Instruction Book (Owner's Manual) for the 1926-1927 Improved Car, just use the Ford supplied wire wheel wrench.

Use open end wrench to loosen the large hex lock nut with its lock washer. Hold the fan shaft tang end with smaller wrench to keep it in place. You might try to isolate the sound by shorting out one plug at a time. Either ground at coil terminal, or at the spark plug. If sound will diminish at one plug, might check out that cylinder. Here is pic of a two-piece valve ground away to show with a cut-a-way engine display. Shows the steel shaft and the cast iron valve head. Likely heat formed together in perhaps an electrical method. Ford did a lot of electrical welding in many processes.
