I had noticed that you are looking at using a tt aux trans backward for an overdrive. What do you end up with on final? I think that the overdrive is a great idea.

Another question, on the military photo of the tracked model T, I know that the only way to steer this is with differential braking, anyone know how they accomplished this? I am thinking rocky mountains or similar. They would have to have been good brakes!

The first time I had seen a sleeved block was on a HP289 ford engine. Only one cylinder was sleeved. I figured that it had threw a rod. When inquiring about it, it was explained that block s have been saved this way, and that a properly installed sleeve will have no problem sealing the water jacket....

They usually leave a shelf to support the sleeve. 1 inch sounds a little tall , but it may have been all the guy had and went with it.

Push your stem in as far as you can without loosing it. This will give the tire room to get into position. We just did one on our tour over the weekend. We left it on the car.

We all had a good time, even though the trouble truck was used several times. A couple of flat tires , one ruckstell locked up, some fuel problems and a muffler came apart. Weather was great! People were great! Accommodations were great! And of course the touring was great!

As Buddy mentioned when Hassler shocks are installed, the perches need to be swapped side to side. This was the reason I removed the ones on my car. Because they were installed wrong, they needed repair. I still want to reinstall them some day because they are part of the cars history.

On My 6V, it uses a cylinder shape float with a center guide. I used a stromberg float while I repaired mine. It was close but no cigar. Love what you are doing Kevin. jw

I had a set on my 26 Canadian touring when I purchased it. I also didn't re-install them during a front axle rebuild. I did like the looks, but they needed some work, and I haven't done that yet.

I would not open the block and valve cover! You have a sealed engine with a proper breather. The most of us have an open engine with the valve cover and block open to the elements.
