Blockley tire shipping is going up
As of today, two tires to Milwaukee is $578. Delivery has gone up.
The price of the tires did not change. 149 pounds each.
I am sure some of this is due to the exchange rate as well.
$1.27 to the pound.

Was at a golf tournament where a 15 year old had lowest score. They gave him the 15 and under trophy, not the 18 and under trophy which of course was larger. Younger kids agreed he deserved the bigger trophy. The weather here in Nebraska has been awesome. 180 mile run, hill climb, and dyno testing. ...

An old trick was to use a straw from McDonalds resting on the piston. You can also use a dowel, a metal rod, whatever. Are they able to analyze the combustion products of each cylinder, especially since you are not combining the byproducts of all four cylinders into one exhaust pipe? Just a thought.

I would not do it with the bearings in place. The races should be fine. It is not hard to install the inner bearings. Just make sure there is no way that your equipment might damage the races.

Re: blockley tire question
Steve paid $526 for two tires
Franks example was $280 per tire when you buy 4
If the Brits would get rid of the pound and use dollars we would not have to worry about conversion costs and the math involved.

Make sure you are going straight when drilling the holes for the bolts. Also the holes go between the spokes, so look thru the holes in the hub before you drill so you can see both spokes in the hole.

I cut up and inner tube and put it under the brass straps that hold down the tank on my speedster. The tank is painted and I wanted to protect it from the straps. It is not noticable unless you look closely.

Re: Replacing Coolant Hose
If you do not want to remove the outlet from the head you have to pull the radiator forward. Disconnect the upper tank support rod. Loosen the radiator bolts on the frame. Hopefully you have enough thread to do this without taking off the nuts. Remove the clamps and twist the hose. Hopefully it is l...

Re: Gravel or Highway
I googled Pella, and I see a lot of county roads. They can't all be gravel. I am spoiled in WI where almost everything is paved. I would not give up on your roadster. Make sure you have good spares and drive slow. When you are in your T you need to see the roses on the side of the road and not plan ...

Re: Gravel or Highway
I have been on the freeway in Michigan where the speed limit is 70. Obviously most cars were doing 80+ and it was not fun, but I had no other choice. I travel on county highways where it is 55mph and have no problem with that, but these are county roads. The traffic is not that bad. I have also driv...

Re: Revitalizing Chickasha Pre-War swap meet
The rental for the grounds is probably a lot cheaper this time of year, but I am sure everyone would rather it was raining and hot, than raining & snowing. Avoid the 2 weeks the National tours are scheduled and you should be OK. Early June is usually open for most T people.
