A side note to the Fisher Body Plant 3, is that in 1917 GM owned Fisher Body, and in 1917 GM build the new assembly plant at Foothill Blvd and 73rd Ave in Oakland Ca to build the new 490 Chevy. Fisher Body moved their west headquarters to that location in Oakland for Chevy and remained there until ...

The body stamps were according not to Ford but his contractors who made the body (in 1914 there were 4 or 5), while they;re not technically a "VIN-worthy" number, you can usually (depending on the body builder) tell when the body was built... I second the electro tank - that has worked miracles where others won't work... Once you get it apart, you'll need to paint the hood panels again it as it will leave the steel bare as a baby's bottom, but it will kill the rust. Re: 'Speedster - lower or not, period accessories.

I like the Mercury lowering bracket - a lot - you don't lose the strength or integrity of the original frame with the cut and weld method (which always seemed like it would introduce a weak point in the frame), and if you not only structurally bolt the addition to it (like putting a brace in a bridg...

Re: Choosing a Body Style for CA DMV?

CA DMV used to allow "Touring" on the title, about the same time you got your R&W plate as a "Roadster" - then again, it was all free form, done by hand, and not via a mindless, faceless computer mainframe in Sacramento... It's a Convertable in current non-descript descriptors... true, it's only a 3...

Don't laugh when I mention this, but for years, we used straight good ol' Sudzy Ammonia and a soft scrub brush to remove wax. Worked on tables, floors, and other furniture, so I can't see why, if it is a wax buildup, it wouldn't work on lacquer. I'm not sure about mineral spirits and wax... IF it's ...

Wow! All that was in that jar? I'm impressed - both by the quantity of "goodies" within, and the condition of them.

I would have never thought of "canning" T parts... but it seems that they weathered quite well.

A lot of people have died from exposure to Dihidrogen Monoxide.
