More like '12-'13, IF indeed the extrusion between the lamp bracket hole and the frame mounting holes is fully round. The pic is hard to tell. In 1914 they changed the extrusion underneath the headlamp bracket hole which is now what I would call a slight "V" shape. And those style are a dime a dozen.

3K since new? Electrodes look eroded. Deposits probably average for a T. No no...sorry. This was since last check. They have 12,000 miles on them since new and yes I'm watching the electrode wear. Probly invest in a new set next season. The car runs so good atm I hate to spend the money....yet! Tha...

Sad thing is, it's getting worse. Frankly you can't even be sure that is the CORRECT pic of that thief! Using credit card thru PayPal should allow you the opportunity for recovery if your card has fraud protection like most do. Sad thing there now is, some CC companies actually consider these purcha...

Maybe it's just me, but as I see so many posts about lubing springs, etc., I have to say in the 10 years now that I've been " T-ing", I've yet to touch a single one. Other than wiping them down and occasional paint touch up. They don't squeak, don't come loose, don't do much of anything except hold ...

Re: Brakes on a Touring
I use the Rocky Mtn. Brakes and once set up right have not had to adjust them often. If you set them up so that the brake band is still operational the issue with reverse is no problem. Mine are set up so that with a little extra pressure on the brake pedal the brake band kicks in and stops the car...

Re: Before I reinvent the wheel.....any creative suggestions?
I have found by using those inexpensive little wooden shims you can get at hardware stores, from the FRONT of the coil box, one on each coil, works great. Just squish each one down until you're comfortable as to where they're at, without the front of the coil box starting to bulge, strike a line at ...

Re: wanted - 1925 engine block or complete engine
Swapping out the engine may screw up your title? If your title right now matches the numbers on your '19 block, and you put in a "random" '25 block, you have two choices...keep that '25 engine number or "move" the current matching '19 number that's on the title to your newly acquired '25 block.....a...

Too much to read here for my attention span so I will only throw in my two cents here, maybe it's already been covered. Looking at that block, I'd take it in to a good engine shop and have it "tanked" as they call it, and DO NOT re use that head gasket. Good grief, they finally have new gaskets avai...

I was lucky enough to have a real film photography class in high school, stinky solution darkroom and all. It was exciting to see our pictures develop, and hanging to dry. Re: Remove hogshead or engine?
What is the suspected problem with the car? Start with the inspection cover. Other than easy changing of bands, removing the HH doesnt give you internal transmission access. You will get a better/more complete look @ the tripple gears. Clutch/bushing/drum issues mean pulling the motor. As a previou...

When I pull an engine and re-install I pack the ball cap solid with the red-n-tacky grease, then at pil changes I pump about 25 pumps of it witj my cartridge gun, and a zerc cup from Langs. Seems to work well from.my perspective. I also use it on all the steering gear and radius rod caps.
