Machinery gray's were quite common over the years but varied. I would look at a good color chart from an equipment enamel company like Rust oleum or similar and choose one you like. Better yet would be a high temperature engine enamel. It may change somewhat with age.

When I built my distributor unit I found some gears at the local bearing store that worked well. They look similar to what I see for the model h. Mine were 18 tooth YSM12B18. This is from the Ford glass book. It looks like your glass should have been 25 7/16" wide to 25 1/2". 5"off as you say. Model A's were notorious for loosing lug nuts and wheels. Usually the left rear.

That's a fantastic '13 body under there. The beds nice too. The plywood in the cab looks to be several decades newer. Like Pat used to tell the bar maids after pointing out all their flaws "...but put it all together and I'd go for it".

Over the years 80% of my engine, tire and driveline problems happened at over 45 mph.
I'm contented now with 33-35. It certainly was fun going fast though.

I think so. Looking at more photos I believe that shift lock and pedals may go back to '21 or '20. I'm not sure how late it might be.

Reproduction tapered leaf rear springs are advertised as 8 leaf. The '27 Ford parts list lists a 9th leaf for 1922-1927 only.

I just tighten them reasonably tight with the spark plug/lug wrench. Dry, nothing added to the threads. In 57 years I don't recall any ever coming loose. these are cleaned originals as well as the new reproductions. Checking them would be wise.

I see that 1924 Cadillac had locking shift too. Based on the similarity of the pedals and the shifter configuration I would say it could be it.

I would think it is a U.S. car. The U-joints look like Spicer to me and the transmission lock is a Sargent. Buick used transmission locks, Johnson, but also Sargent, Yale and Briggs cylinders. I don't remember Buicks with the aluminum case though.
