I am no expert, but my grandpa taught me to make sure the side angled electrode runs "uphill"and on the side. That way any oil that collects on the electrodes will not run to the gap but away from the gap.

I have a pair of "RollFast" bottom taps for the Stevens front axle tool. One of them is 5/8-24 NF right hand, and the other is 5/8-24 NF left hand threads. I bought a 12 volt version about a year or so ago. I will vouch that the quality is very good. Thanks Jeff for doing these for us.

That is a good looking 1927 frame. It's the later stronger frame with the flanged rear cross member. I would jump on it since you need it.

Rootlieb might not "make" them. They may just sell someone else's radiator. Everyone thought they sold gas tanks, but they actually sold the tanks that were made by the man in Arkansas. It would be worth checking to see if the do actually make them.

Anyone with 26 - 27 wire wheels "needs" this. I'm tempted to buy it just in case I break mine. This is a very useful tool at a great price.

I have the radiator shell shown on the touring in the second picture. The shell and apron are one single piece. If anyone needs one it is available.

Appears to be a touring with an accessory "closed car" style top attachment.

My original nos pair was close to a satin or semi-gloss. I used satin rustoleumn on another set I have on my tractor conversion. It is really close looking from the back. I can not tell any difference from the front looking thru the glass.

Thanks Scott. I knew the bolt size and hole size was different, but I never measured them to compare to a car spring clamp. Glad you had one for him. Most of mine are getting pretty sad as to condition.

Scott. The facing tool is a "miracle tool" It's so hard to get those surfaces parallel without it. I have never seen another one in over 42 years of collecting Stevens tools.

A real TT front spring clamp is unique to the TTs and uses a bigger bolt size, and also a clamp plate with larger holes. The car version is not correct on a TT. The seat frames are all metal except for a wood cross board (aprox 1 x 4) that fits into a slot on each side of the seat frame. The springs are all metal.
