Thanks for posting this information as I find learning about old cars very interesting.
I see in the Bonhams information that they were 8 HP. How fast would those little cars go?

Kalamity Dick was very helpful to Chief Iron Tail when he was having trouble starting his car. Kalamity said he would advance the timing for him only if he cranked with his right hand. Kalamity was so helpful that he left the Chief by himself while he ran back to help the young lady set up the teepe...

Re: Compression Test Completed (Fouled Plugs / Skipping Engine)
It shifts really bad going into high Model T's do not shift like other cars when changing gear from low to high. When you start in low tromp the peddle down hard don't ease into it, when you shift from low to high (about 8-9 MPH) back off of the throttle let the peddle out and then advance your thr...

Re: This was trucking-Old Photos
Looking at the Central Brewing Co truck...It would take a hell of a man to load a full barrel of liquid up on top like that and then lift it down when delivered. The top may cover their heads when it's in the up position, but their legs and feet would get soaked in the rain! One small headlight unde...

Mack,
Take your fuel costs and divided them between all the years you didn't make it...so your average fuel cost is divided by 3 years you didn't go so $240 divided by 3 equals $80 per year! see cheap isn't it.

Re: I just want to scream!
I have rebuilt transmissions in the past and sometimes it's nice to see how other do it. I just don't want someone to ruin their car. I will not post the name of the person or video link I saw that made me cringe, but I will tell you that you do not take one piece of wire and run it through the bolt...

There is no way you could use that heater in a moving car or even light it in the back seat without causing a fire. An officer would have a blanket over his lap and possibly a charcoal fired foot warmer.

I just want to scream!
I consider myself new to Model T's (only being involved 20 + years) and I'm always learning from those with more experience and knowledge. I have 99% of the Ford manuals and have rebuilt two cars a '22 Coupe and a '27 Touring. The Coupe was having some engine or power issues, so I decided to tear it...

Steve,
That's a great photo of you camping. You should post a copy in black & white to make it look period correct.

Re: Antique Black and Decker Combination Grinder Year?
Sometimes the date of manufacture is part of the serial numbers. If you can find a website on how to read or decode the serial number, you may have the date of manufacture you're looking for. Maybe check the Balck & Decker website to see if they have a question & answer section and ask about the ser...

Re: What Have You Done to Your Model T in April?
I finally found the time to pull the engine out of the '22 Coupe. It's been sitting for several years as I had to move and spent time converting a pole barn to a workshop. Looks like #4 piston was slapping due to a bent connecting rod. I also am tearing down the magneto to get it working. Coil ring ...

I enjoy the posting of restorations and how folks overcome the many challenges they face just like you when moving the body around. The only problem I see is how are you going to fit all those helpers in the Coupe for the "First Ride" when it's all back together? I guess rather than a wrestling/boxi...

I bet that was like a steam bath inside and full of exhaus...

You may be able to look online for the museum you wish to visit and inquire if they are currently displaying the tanks.
I've posted these before in another thread.

The way people would stop and look at the camera I wonder if the trolly had a sign on the front of it informing them that they were filming or if the cameraman was out in front of the trolly on a platform and could see him. I enjoyed the color version but what is more amazing is the fact that not on...
