Re: MTFCA Board of Directors Election Candidates
Let's NOT politicize any of the candidates , pro or con . After all is said and done, it's the voting MTFCA membership's decision . The percentage of members who personally know a candidate IMHO is very low . If any member is interested in running for Board positions, throw your hat into the ring !

Re: MTFCA Board of Directors Election Candidates
Voting for three candidates, to replace upcoming expiring terms, has always been the rule. After all these years there are complaints? I agree that voting encourages new participation and leadership.

Hi Bill... I think it'd be easier to check the roster for a local chapter near you and hopefully someone in that chapter can be of help with your magneto question first hand. Good possibility that all is needed is a magneto recharge.

Re: Very slow cranking
Your original post refers to slow cranking with the starter,.... Just wondering if you should really check your battery cables for the proper size to carry the amperage that the starter needs from your certified powerful battery.

Re: Update: BAND SPRINGS TOO SHORT?
Good morning Jeffrey... In your version of a quoted post , you included a link to "drive mad". What does that have to do with Model T transmission band lining installation ? I and others would suggest you to correct your posting and eliminate that link.

Re: Spark and Throttle Control Levers
The 1926 and 1927 models had the new steering ratio of 5 to 1 gearing compared to the earlier models using the four to one ratio. Steering assembly measurements differed. Possible you have the earlier 4 to 1 ratio set up?

Tom .... I wholeheartedly agree with your satisfaction. Even though I do call several vendors, Gaslight is very responsive, more so than others, returning contact info by phone, e-mail, or message if there would be a delay with shipping . Some vendors may put this, my post, on their "watch lists" , ...

Post contacts cleaned up...... Check battery position in battery holder, battery. May need to be elevated with one or two boards between battery and holder frame so that positive cable doesn't touch battery holder frame and short out.

Other fiber gaskets go on either side of the mounting plate. Using a rubber gasket in that mounting start locatio...
