Here are a pair of windshield filler plugs for lower frame 23/25 open car. Part number 7803brx. This is the piece that goes in the end of windshield frame so the cap can fasten on and the frame can be bolted to the uprights. What is the proper name for the type of fastener that is commonly used with sheet metal screws in applications where a nut and bolt can't be used. they ware always made of spring steel and can be flat or slightly curved with different sizes for different size screws and applications, I loked at McMaster-Carr but didn't really know what to call...

I am wanting to buy one of these axle cradle tools that mount to a bench and holds the rear axle housing for assembly. Apparently, the vendors don't sell them anymore. Does anybody have one that they are willing to let go of?

Constantly inspecting and cleaning up parts, I noticed something odd about my fan hub.
The belt hub itself spins true. The fan blades themselves spin true. However, the hub shaft and blade flange are spinning 0.097 off center!! The rivets for the blades were drilled true to shaft center, not with the flange.

Begs the question as to production...

Lamps. The one on the right (with magnet) has unusual steel top but otherwise complete with brass top font and burner. No cracks in glass or brass. With all due respect, I am not looking for generic speculation but what I am looking for is what is considered authentic on the 'color' of Brass Glass Channel?

Was the Windshield Frame originally painted (dipped??) prior to installing the Glass Channel, -followed by the installation of the Windshield Glass, ...or was the Glass Channel installed...

Cleaning up parts on Daisy (1914 Touring), working on the front fender irons. The headlamp pickle forks are DB's, but I'm not familiar with the mark on the actual fender iron.

My 1924 touring is having problems in performance. The #3 cylinder is not working correctly. Have replaced all plugs, wires, cleaned all contacts in coil box, rebuilt good coils. Good compression in all cylinders (40 - 44). Yet when you short out each cylinder, #1, #2, and #4 will short out the engine, but not at #3. All 4 will spark with a strong...

With or without the distributor is ok but I would like one with the toggle & levers. I'm looking for the type with the distributor on the front, not the magneto on the side.

Saw this tool on a FB Vintage Tool I.D. Group, was unidentified by the poster.

So looked up the tool in a Stevens Speed Up Catalog. Rather useful to have when one-man replacing rivets, makes a real good bucking bar.

Not sure who produced this head, or the compression rating on it. It appears to be greater than 6 to1 but that's just my opinion. The only markings on it other that the Ford script and made in USA is a 4 at the water outlet and a 2 and 4 at the back of the top surface of the head. These numbers are raised and part of the casting.
