Number five, the milk bottle TT, has the 1921 only green painted visor headlamp lenses.
Nickel plating the radiator shell was unusual on black era model Ts, on TT trucks it is almost unheard of! The license plate looks like it is from outside the USA? Anybody recognize it? Really a neat interesting truck!

Anyone interested in finding out what the compression of a new 8:1 Prus head is in PSI?
If you didn't see the multiple times I used bluing to check for interference with the pistons - run through the playlist.
I believe there are two videos where the pistons hit the head (Z head was worse bang just to be fair).

Compression ratio is a mathematical equation and not a measured pressure. Simples form, swept volume + chamber volume divided by chamber volume. There are other factors such as gasket volume and pistobpn dome/dish. Compression ratio is not measured by cylinder pressure.

My truck came with virtually no cotter pins on the castle nuts so I've been going through adding them everywhere they belong. The tie rod bolt screws into the yolk, the nut is a lock nut. Remove the nut first then unscrew the bolt.
As Peter says, do not remove the bolt... remove the nut , then unscrew the bolt.

Just picked these beauties up for a song. The larger seat tool has the Ford script. How viable of a tool was this? It would create an arched seat instead of a three angle. I know the intake would work fine with a narrow seat, but I was taught to create a wider seat for the exhaust for heat transfer.

That Neway tool is the cats meow...or as others would say the cats butt ...
It really works great as demonstrated to me and a friend by Joe Bell. Too expensive for me to own as I don't really need one anyway. But it would be nice to have one just because ... (the wife would have a fit about the cost!)

Going along with Allan's warning about linseed oil, oil soaked rags have to be disposed of carefully. These rags will self combust spontaneously if not disposed of properly. I would use spar urethane to coat the wood.

G'day everyone,
Stay tuned in the very near future for a collaboration video between Steven Park and myself, I'm to be interviewed for Steven's channel, I encourage you to subscribe to his channel also, if you haven't already, some really good content on there. I will also be posting the same video (or at least an edit of it) to my own channel....

You both make great videos. Steven captures the exhaust note and sound of the T very well. I will watch and listen for my fix if I haven't had mine out for awhile. ;)

Hi all,
Every year the local Northport, N.Y. Chamber of Commerce prints and sends out an annual calendar with vintage photos from the 1800's to the 1970's. This year the February calendar had this photo which is captioned: A car parked in front of a house up on a hill with a woman on the porch in Northport - 1910 (location unknown) . Wow. My data...

When using a set of number stamps, how much effort should be required to stamp new numbers into the block pad above the water inlet on the side of the block? When you file, grind, mill, or any other way of removing a number you flatten the number boss. It no longer matches the rest of the texture on the block. No matter what stamps you use it isn't going to fool a govt. employee who's job is to verify numbers.

This is a hand painted double sided sign that was in a early Ford Dealership in Illinois.

Both sides are very much alike other than the automobiles are different.

I believe traditionally 90% of the cars are speedsters.

Holley G carb float… cork or modern replacement?

First post
I’m rebuilding brass Holley G for my ‘14 touring. The carb I’m building has an OK cork float that needs sealed, but I thought I would replace it with the modern material float that’s available. First, the new float is about 3/16” thicker than the cork float. Is this to compensate for the flotation density between the two materials? Second, if you...

I remember reading to retard the spark when shutting down here on the forum. But after I read it I had already removed just a bit on the back of the flapper. That did the trick.
The timer worked fine BEFORE I slightly ground off the flapper back a little when I noticed at times the spark lever would kind of jump down about 3 notches after...

Engine block numbering

Engine block has been stamped.... AN7754. I'm thinking it is a replacement block made after 1927 to 1941 era. It is hooked up with a 26-27 hogshead but the block does not have the extra flange area for the top of the hog's head to bolt. Would anyone have any idea where this block was manufactured?.... Or even was it a block made by a company not...

Hello, I was just wondering what people's opinions were about fixing an enlarged hole in the flywheel for a triple gear pin. It's a 1923 motor with a starter ring gear. I have a different flywheel ordered, but was curious if anyone ever tried fixing one. The pin is fine but loose in the flywheel, the clutch side of the hole measures about .690 and...

Just remember the pins push out from the gear side, and new ones go in from the back side.

The driven gear for the speedometer needs replaced. The odd thing is it's a 17 tooth gear and all of the replacement ones I can find are 16 tooth. I have no idea of what it was originally on as I found a receipt from when the guy that restored my T bought the whole package at a swap meet back in 1980. I think he paid $100 for it. If I have to I'll...

I drew up the same gear using Onshape 3D. Happy to share the stl file (or any other format) with you if you need it.
3D prints of this gear work really well. I have over 1000 miles on mine and it still looks brand new.
I've only seen these gears in 16 teeth.
Jeff
