Let's go looking for them Darel. I see in the Redwood Gazette that Sandsger & Hegdal sold Goodyear tires in Belview in 1915. That must be the place.
How much could it have changed?

The rods can be checked for bend and twist once you have them out. Still no need to pull the head, but probably easier if you don't have access to a hoist.

Does anyone know anything about a Jim Wade regrind cam? I have one my stuff in a box marked “ Jim Wade regrind .255 lift”.
Nothing on cam it self. Just has that on box. An info would be helpful.
Was someone named Jim Wade grinding cams years ago? Thanks Dan
I know what the .255 lift means, just want to know if cam is any good grind wise.

Should I use teflon tape, thread sealer, plumbers...

A couple of years ago, I rebuilt my Ruxtell rear axle using new hubs, axles, and keys from Langs. I once had a wheel I could not get off with either of the tools shown.
I ended up backing off the nut a couple of turns (so it was loose but not falling off) and then driving the car a little making tight turns both left and right.
That worked when nothing else would.

Hi, I made a mistake I broke my new ADJUSTABLE Modern Drive Shaft Pinion Bearing... when I tried to installed it. Do I need to buy another one Or I could keep it as is and using more sealant with the boken piece. The good news the failure do not affect the hole were the bolts are. Any thoughts ? Thank you.

Friends,
My youngest son, who was off at college, got sick in early April and was diagnosed with leukemia. It's been nearly two months since the diagnosis, although it feels like a year. Erik,
I lost my best friend to leukemia back in the '90s and three years later I lost my only son to some other medical issue. I certainly do not wish this on you or anyone else, the nightmare, the feeling like you are a primary caregiver in your own home. Ben, I had the same problem with the doors on my 1917 shooting brake. Over the seasons, the horizontal joints in the door side panels open and close as they are wont to. What I should have done is made the joints a lap joint, so that they could still move but the overlap would disguise the gap. I kick myself over this.

From a post in 2009,
For the carburetor end, bend the wire about 80 degrees in toward the carburetor, and go about 3/16 in, and then straighten it out again. Cut the wire about 1/4 past that.

I'm planning to mount a Sparton horn on the long radiator to firewall rod over the engine on my 26 Touring. Some said this may not be good for the radiator. I have a Berg's radiator and will mount horn as close to the firewall as I can. Has anyone ever had any issues when you mounted a horn in this manner? Not speculation but had something bad...

Here is a nifty switch I intend to wire up to choose which horn the button will activate. Turn the switch sideways and you'd get a nice discrete turn signal switch!

I was driving my old Corolla on Stanley Street in New Britain, Connecticut today--Sunday afternoon--and saw a Model T. It was a black T, not brass & not Improved Ford, with two brass rings on the headlights & natural wood spokes on the wheel. Body style was regular touring but the top was down.
Not sure if the driver was a member of the Model T...

Hello. I drive my 1915 touring almost daily just around town. I do ok with the mechanical end of all my cars and know a LITTLE about the electric side of an automobile. I would like to maintain and maybe start rebuilding my model T coils. I'm thinking of buying a ECCT. Do you think a person with limited electric experience could learn to use it? I...

Initially I purchased just the ECCT without the software. When I purchased the software, it made adjusting the coils easier and more precise. Later I got the Mag software. I would recommend purchasing all software. I have 2 I timers. They are fantastic and very cost effective.

I learn a lot from the threads asking for help identifying a particular Model T. They really do provide quite the education. Here is a photo of a brass Model T made into a pickup truck from the Post 22 thread. What year would it be?

Unfortunately, no. I don't presently have any Heinz coils available. I created that image illustrating the fuse jumper connected across the point contacts. What are those items protruding from the front of the car ? Right front fender has a fatigue split. Lot of rough road there.
For those who may have known Gilmore in times past, i believe that's the rear of the Jaegger Hotel that shows behind the gents in the front seat.

No more than $400.00. Radiator shell may be good enough to clean up and use along with the cowl, maybe. The engine may not be cracked. T’s have been built up with parts like these and turned out pretty good but as the old saying goes “one mans trash is another mans treasure”.

You have to start with everything clean, then use detergent oil and those deposits won’t form unless something is seriously wrong.
