What size outside diameter is the Model A exhaust pipe, from the manifold to the front of the muffler? I don't have one handy to measure.

I did some front end repairs this weekend. Pulled the steering column and tightened the rivets at the gear and put a new bracket at the frame.
Already had an Apco cover on the Pittman arm, but it was a little loose. The adjustment plug was frozen though. Found a brand new one in my junk

So I was looking at the U Joint connection and noticed the grease cup when turned would hit the edge of the ball cap. Shouldn't the grease cup have clearance to be screwed all the way down. It didn't look bent.

I moved the ball cap to the side to take the picture.

Is there a preferred material to use for the carburetor-to-manifold gasket? I have 1/16 gray gasket material.

on the pictured lugs for all my split rims and all are on the lug to the right of the rim attachment.

The other three are still nice and round and the demountable rim bolt nuts fit good. Noticed this same oval shape on two spare split rims as well.

Any input would be great.

My 26 coupe vibrates quite a bit when running down a steep hill in high gear. The crank and flywheel have been dynamically balanced and the car will run up to about 50 mph with little to no vibration. It's only an issue under engine braking. Any ideas?

On our 1923 TT, on the front axle it has model T wheels and rims with 4 bolts, on the rear axle it has the usual demountable rims. (6 bolts)
Is that correct? What is the correct tyre size for the front axle of a TT? Should it be 30x3,5 or heavier? Now it has tyres 820x120 (millimeters) which is the same as 32,3x4,73. 2021-03-07.JPG

After 13 months I got my 26TT engine back from Lillikers. With the help of a young friend we are starting to put things back together. When we put the carb on he says No air filter? I would like the forum members opinions on air filters.

My Simmons Super Power carburetor has given me a great deal of grief and I gave up trying to rebuild it.

When I bought my 1925 T Touring it came with the Simmons and it seemed okay, but I suspect that it has been the source of much of my problems over the past two years or so. I am not interested in yet another summer in the garage or getting...

My original pan was unuseable so I bought another one. It has straight side rails and good threads and is in good shape.
It does not fit the rear bearing.

Murray Fahnestock says to straighten the pan by attaching to the block and using wood block and large hammer.

Just inherited a 1926 Speedster from my Father-in-Law. It has these caps on the wire wheels. Looking to see if anyone knows where I can get an additional cap as one is missing.

Why do some X plugs have a longer thread reach ?
