I need a carb for my 1920 engine.( I do not have a carb for a core). Snyders catalog offers a new holly carb for $272.00 without a core which is about the same price as having one rebuilt. Is it possible to tighten the hinges on a 1914 windshield?
The top section on my roadster has a tendency to flop back to match the angle of the lower section while driving. I made an attempt to tighten the slotted screw head on the inside of each hinge to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

So I found a repro horn at Luray and tried jumping it off my battery. and It's not working. Do they sell a new circuitboard for these? Everything inside look new. No signs of water or corrosion.

I have had the springs blast cleaned to bare metal and have applied a Rust-Oleum primer as shown in the attached photos. I plan to paint each leaf with a Rust-Oleum satin. I will then brush a graphite slip paint to the bottom of each leaf, except the bottom leaf.

Any comments?

I will provide up dates on the restoration in parts so we don't have a long list of items under one topic.

I see a recommendation of 27 PSI all around for balloon tires on a runabout in the 1926 Ford Owner's Manual. Does that sound correct?

This screwdriver sold recently on eBay. I believe the photos might be a good reference for anyone searching for an original Model T tool kit screwdriver.

I just noticed a pad on the bottom of the body where the rear spring sets (see photo). I am aware that there is a rubber pad between the top leaf and the cross member, but did not know there is one on top of the spring unit. This is on a 1927 coupe.

A lot of times when you take something apart you can figure out why somebody quit using it. I bet they experienced hard starting and a bad idle. The spray needle wore a hole right through the tubing.

In my T model puncture repair kit I carry a tin of patch cement. The tin has a nice inbuilt brush in the lid. The last 1/2 of goo went thick, so I had to buy a replacement can.

There have been many posts on this forum about Z and P high compression heads. In no post have I ever read where someone successfully milled even as much as a 32nd of an inch (.031) off of a Prus head. Does anyone know if this is possible, assuming the block has stock deck height?

I am in the process of removing the glass from the windows in my 1927 coupe. The photos show the windows. I have removed the hardened rubber on the inside of the rear window, but I haven't tried to push the glass out. I would appreciate any comments/suggestions on how to proceed.

I'm getting my Model T ready for a tour in two weeks. The fuel on/off valve on the carb has been sticky so I decided to try to lap the valve and lube it with some EZ Turn. Over the last couple of days it also developed a slow leak at the valve so I decided it couldn't wait.

I have a new (2019) Bergs low (black) radiator. I put a motometer Jr. and winged cap on it. After 2000 miles the neck came loose and I had it soldered back on. Does anyone know when Ford went from the one piece dust ring held on with a screw in front of the terminal stud to the split type held with a bolt and nut? McCalley's book shows a generator on page 277 with the early setup. The stud is not attached to the buss bar like the later ones. Pictures don't want to post today!
